Optiplex Dell Intel i7-2600 Quad Core 16GB RAM 240GB SSD + 1TB HDD WiFi Windows 10 Desktop PC Computer (Renewed)

Early days yet, but very pleased so far, and giving this product five stars for value for money. This purchase is a replacement for a dead Laptop; the renewed Optiplex Dell Intel i7-2600 (Quad Core, 8 threads, 16GB RAM, 240GB SSD + 1TB HDD WiFi Windows 10 Pro) small desktop PC arrived today (Oct 12th 2021), bang on time. We bought this for office jobs and it works just fine.== First Impressions ==It's obviously used, but it's in very good condition with respectable specs for the price (£199). And it's very fast and quiet ! It took a just a few minutes from unpacking to getting online with Win 10 Pro. All we had to do was install office and aftermarket software, plus the usual downloads for a 'new' PC. We were back to our normal routine inside two hours. We'll use the SSD for the system, and load everything else onto the secondary HDD which has plenty of room for images, videos and such.== Tips ==System Restore is not set up by default on the C: Drive, so we turned that on just in case. There are plenty of USB sockets for more devices (maybe another SSD) and there's an Ethernet socket on the machine for Internet.== Functionality ==This Dell PC sits upright on my desk and there are plenty of ports which I probably won't max out. It has everything we need to run a small office without gaming or video editing. Though running at 3.4Ghz with its SSD C:/ drive plus a 1TB SATA HDD, it certainly aint slow. Maybe we'll try games and video editing down the line.== As Advertised ==Speccy confirms that the rig is as advertised, and the system confirmed that everything on Windows Pro was up to date. It was a breeze to set up because everything was pre-loaded, and the peripherals to get straight online were included (2.4 GHz Wi-Fi dongle and HDMI).I attached my own monitor (you need your own VGA cable); mouse and keyboard are not included but there is a surprise internal SATA DVD Player/Writer/DVD Multi-Recorder - PLDS DVD+-RW DS-8A8SH - built in. The DVD Writer has not been tested beyond playing a film, but it seems to work fine with VLC.== A Good Decision ==The suppliers sound like good guys and they were friendly and helpful on the phone. It seems like buying this renewed Dell was a sound decision.

I am really pleased with the PC! I had bought a smaller SFF Dell computer previously which also had a SSD installed (my first time using a Solid State Drive!) - so saw this PC with a bigger and better list of specs than the smaller PC. I am hoping to use this for my Music Studio, and seems great so far! - The first thing I did was to have a look inside! - I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean it was! (Thanks Guys!) - and there is a lot more space inside this unit than the SFF I had previously purchased! - (I am considering adding a better Graphics card so this should help?) - The second thing I did was to do all the necessary Windows 10 updates and now the computer is running fine! I was pleased to receive a WiFi dongle and an adapter if I needed to run 2 monitors with this PC ( I have not used the WiFi as my PC is connected to the internet via my LAN connection)The exterior condition was exceptionally good for a re-conditioned unit - a few rub marks, but nothing serious!I received the PC very quickly and it was well packed!I would recommend this to anyone wanting a Fast PC with loads of storage!I think it would take up to 32Gb of Ram if you want to add a bit more memory ( You can do a Crucial scan to confirm this if you wish!)I am now saving up for an External SSD to add to this unit to store all my Loops and Samples to aid with my music production!I will update my review after I have connected my Audio Interface to see how this works with this PC? - I am feeling confident so hoping all goes well!It is Great Value for money! - BUT don’t have a clue what thickness and sheerness means!? - come on Amazon, either “Explain” or change this review parameter! LOL

I've been using this machine for a month now and it's working nicely. The CPU, RAM and drives are much better than I'd expect for a PC in this price range. I don't use the DVD writer, but it's nice to know that it's there.I'm using this to run 6 displays using an additional the graphics card. As this is a small form case, this also meant an upgrade to the case as well as there is little room for expansion. I might not have purchased this item if I'd realised this before, but it's looking good inside it's new case and even with this additional purchase it's still a great deal.The PC now manages to run business applications, TV and games on 6 screens all at the same time without any effort.Would have given it 5 starts if it had included the Windows installation key (remember the good old days when this used to be on a sticker on the bottom of the machine!). This is not a big deal, but it's useful to have if you intend to do a fresh install as I did.
