Great for Vietminh Forces
I'm creating a French Indochina game and these figures are perfect for Vietminh troops. They have six poses with four of them working as excellent Vietminh soldiers. They work well with my 28mm French Indochina paratroopers and Foreign Legionaries. It allows me to have hundreds of enemy forces on the board while I have a small force of French troops. Seeing a field of four to five hundred Vietminh in tactical groups approaching a small outpost of 112 French para and Legionaries makes for an exciting game for all the players. Each turn simply bring them in three inches and when they are in range have them fire. Great Dien Bien Phu feeling.I simply love these figures.C.

Nice price
About half of these are WW II/'modern' type soldiers who could represent any number of nationalities on the tabletop, the other half are more like 'Space Ranger' futuristic types. They are definitely tall and chunky compared to 1:72/HO/OO scales and look pretty big next to IMEX, really big next to Airfix or Italeri. But hey, people aren't all the same size either, and for this price, you really can't lose.If you're looking to fill out the ranks of your 20 mm/thereabouts army for cheap and you're not too anal about scale, these are perfect.

Pretty nice
We used these at my granddaughter “going away party “ in place of a graduation party- she was leaving for basic training!

As advertized
I bought these in order to act as miniatures for a WWII game. Based on my measurements they appear to be 28mm to 30mm. In the picture provided I used a quarter and a monopoly house for scale. I was able to identify that these figures are mold re-sizes of the WWII U.S. and British troops produced by Matchbox in the 1970s. My only issue with these figures are the the ammount of excess plastic (aka flash) on certain figures. This problem appears to affect the U.S. soldier in the overcoat the most. The one I photographed is the most agregious example.

Not what it used to be
This product was once a great product. I purchased large quantities of these toys two years ago for an art project that I've been working on, and they were as pictured, durable, detailed, and down right beautiful! When I recently ordered them, they were cheap, easy-to-break, and most certainly nothing like what is pictured. I really wish the manufacturer would return to making the older product (alas, that may never happen as I'm sure it is far cheaper to produce the latest incarnations, as they are of inferior quality), and more importantly that vendors would stop advertising the product with that misleading image!

An essential part of a movie costume
These little guys were strung into a necklace for the Chop Top character in the movie, A Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. So they are an essential piece needed to recreate that costume! Comes with a ton of tiny soldiers.

Not 1"
So #1, these are not 1" tall. The normal standing units are about 1 1/4" tall. Little difference to a kid, but to someone who is trying to use them to expand a miniatures war game, size matters, and 25% too big is far too big. Actually for a kid, the larger standard size army men would be a better choice. The bodies are all oddly flattened, giving a weird hollow body feel. And the bases are small & narrow, such that they fall over very easily. A kid trying to play with them on grass & dirt verses a table top would struggle to ever get them to stand upright. Some of the older comments say that they got a 50/50 mix of WW2 and Space Ranger type units. In my batch at least, all I had were WW2 units. 4 UK guys and 2 US guys. The 6th model, not shown above, is a US guy with a grease gun(ish) SMG talking on a handheld radio.
