Combo head screwdriver is the right tool for residential electrical work
Electrical recepticals, switches and fixtures have combo head screws. They are most easily driven with a combo head screwdriver like this one. It is possible to use a phillips or slotted screwdriver but they aren't designed for the job and make it unnecessarily hard. If you work on electrical boxes occasionally you will need glad to have one of these.

Makes the task easier
Was referred by a friend of this tool. It works great to be able to take screws out of receptacle and switches. The head locks in real easy. Harder to strip out screws when trying to remove or insert.

Works on Receptacles better than a Phillips screwdriver.
Most people don’t know that outlets/receptacles have terminal wiring screws that aren’t same as typical Phillips type slots. As a DIY person I didn’t know this until around year ago. This screwdriver is designed to fit those screws and don’t slip with tightening.

is not universal screw driver but will relably tighten the the screws compatible with its design .
is/looks different than most screw driver/fastener easy to differentiate from phillips/flat head in the handle, shaft is long enugh to not care about blade alingment, bulk of the handel gives power of torque when you need solid fastening. will not camout ,does not use phillips blade to load tourqe but uses phillip blade to stay in center axis of screw. simply works not a universal bit if the products u are using use this bit one step closer to a easier job .closes the gap on sloppy work.Y/F Carl

Great screwdriver.. my go-to tool..
I’m a licensed electrician and I’ve been using Ideal’s combo-screwdrivers for years.. they are great for wiring receptacles or switches because with the combo-head you can really torque down on the screw terminals ensuring a good connection.. without stripping..
