Well made, accurate, precision thermometer.
This is a well made, accurate, precision thermometer. Hanna Instruments are a respected and trusted manufacturer of scientific equipment. I have four products bought from Hanna and they have all proved to be excellent.The response time of the probe is very fast and the reading is almost immediately stable.Highly recommended

Unreliable not accurate and expensive
Had this version of the Hanna's "Checktemp" and another more expensive version. Both failed - refusing to measure temperature / self calibrate. Over £150 wasted on this junk. Very upset.

The 'standard' in very accurate probe thermometers
The Checktemp 1 product keeps subtly improving This is my third and it has a few new features and the same no-nonsense accuracy.They are closely calibrated at the factory with the results in the box but, being me, I still put it into normal, very hot and very cold situations against an even more expensive certified and calibrated thermometer and they were never more 0.1C apartIt may be overkill to see if your freezer is frozen but at least whatever it tells you will spot on true.
