Transformer plug hard wired to electronics account in mounting.
See attached photograph. I am using it to monitor the temperature in an enclosed room housing a swim spa. I like the units accuracy and versatility in methods of installation. I mounted it to a board and cut holes in the back for the power cord and probe. The probe connects to the thermometer unit via a phone jack type connection. The transformer power cord (disconnect) is hard wired to the thermometer. I would have preferred a removable jack like disconnect to the unit. Would have been able to bore out a 1/2 inch hole rather than a 1 3/4 inch hole to accommodate the transformer.
