I normally do not write product reviews but this dish rack deserves some attention. I have tried several dish racks over the years since washing the dishes by hand is much faster and cheaper. Furthermore, newer dishwashers are of poor quality and prone to leaking. This dish rack has plenty of room for day to day dishes and is expandable for bigger occasions. The rack also has a long drain spout that rotates and tall feet. This is important when using with a drop in sink. This rack reaches over the sink lip and drains into the sink, not on the counter. The utensil compartment drains well and holds knives securely. The utensil compartment is also part of rack not hanging off the front or back. This is a big feature since many dish racks utensil compartments either hang off into the sink or drip water onto the counter from the back. It is well made and actually looks very nice on the counter. In fact, I might not hide the unit in the dishwasher when company comes over since it does look great. I also use a drying mat under this dish rack since I tend to make a mess when washing dishes. All in all, a very product that is designed well, works well and looks great on the counter. Finally, there is a difference in dish racks.

This is the best dish rack I have ever purchased. It is a bit pricey, but worth every penny. I have stainless and black appliances, so this fits in perfectly with my kitchen.Love that it compresses down or can extend. Pictures show it both ways, both empty and full. The silverware caddy can go anywhere, the bar that holds cutting boards is very handy. The prongs holding the dishes are very versatile. I can put them in any which way. Everything dries and all the water comes out the little spout at the bottom.It was easy to assemble as well. I just wish I had purchased this when I first saw it rather than letting it sit in my wish list for a bit.

Moved to a new house with only one deep sink. I tried just a drying mat on the counter, but dishes kept falling, and I still ended up with water everywhere. My hand washables are either too large for the dishwasher, or breakable wine glasses and vases. This expandable dish rack was the perfect solution! I love the little spigot it has on the bottom, that allows all the excess water to drain right back into the sink. Now I have clean, unbroken dishes, and no water pooling across the counter and down to the floor. I also love that it can be pushed back together and take up a lot less space when not in use!

I wondered why I had been stuck on the old-school style dish racks after I bit the bullet and replaced my years-old one with this model. What a game changer for me. I appreciate that this drain can go from very compact to a size that can accommodate pots and pans, and I love the multitude of rubber tipped prongs (silly, I know), but they’re helpful in keeping glasses and water bottles upright, allowing for better drying. The quality is better than I expected and I’m very happy with this product! Wish I had purchased it sooner.
