It's a nice purple.
It is small just what I needed to heat up food, not so much to make food. Great for eggs though, two fit snug. I wish they sold it as a pair in one pack, this 5.5 inch and a 7 inch. Would of been perfect. It's heavy too. Very sturdy.

Ok doe’s it’s job
So bought this small pan again, ( 2nd one after about 1 year since the 1st one I bought ) using it as a spare / main, just incase not enough time to wash it, anyway been using this previous product for about over a year; only big enough for 2 scrambled eggs, no more than that, also needs to stir it gentle otherwise the food will get out of the pan,I usually handwashing with care but it is dishwasher safe. Anyway would I buy it again; so originally when I bought the 1st one I didn’t think too much of it but after bought other than same size 5.5inch, turns out this pan was the best in term of how the food ( again; scrambled eggs only ) comes out. Anyway I would recommend this product to who ever is reading this review but enough for 2 scrambled eggs only.So bought this mainly for cooking scrambled eggs, so far so good, the size aeee a little small but is fine for a couple of eggs at a time, pretty easy to clean; warm water and dish soap, dish washer safe, why not a 5 star then?!;1; kind of too small.2; had issue e with handle. My had is a little big so would prefer longer handle. But overall good quality; i DBI l it’s make in Korea which is a plus +Would I buy it again; actually No, actually thinking about returning but to get the same brand but bigger; prefer 6 or 8 inch; but this is a good brand!!!! Quality!!! I am Recommending it.

Good durable pan
This is our second one-egg pan from TechChef. The first one lasted eight years. Looking forward to using this one for the same time or longer. Very convenient when you just need to make eggs for a breakfast sandwich.

Uh. Maze. Ing.
Impulse bought a little gimmick egg pan at a box store while in the checkout line one day. It was awful, and the thin plastic "sunny side up egg" handle melted shortly after purchase, so I chucked it. But the novelty of an egg pan small enough to cook eggs that would fit easily on a sandwich or in a breakfast wrap was too tantalizing, and I couldn't let go of the idea. After some light Amazon browsing, I came across the TeChef little purple egg pan. It was a little bigger than I wanted, but I gave it a shot. I was blown away. Cooked the right way (drop a dab of butter in the pan, wait until it just browns, then drop the eggs in), you'll never have an egg that sticks. I started using it to cook all of my toddler's food also, as it's a perfect portion size for young'uns. I was cooking that toddler some peas and carrots one day and a tantrum broke out, distracting me. The smoke alarm tipped me off that I had a smoking mass of charcoal in the pan, and the teflon was damaged beyond repair. I immediately purchased another one. I have essentially reduced my skillets currently in rotation from an 8, 10, 11, and 12 inch to just this and the 12 inch. A few items of note:-the handle is short, but no shorter than it should be. You just have to be cognizant of the fact that it's not a long handle, or you'll get burned.-I originally was upset that the sides aren't more sloped (which would greatly benefit an egg pan), but since I use this mainly for cooking small portions of meals, it's been really handy, as I have a small lid that fits perfectly on top. I use it more like a shallow pan than a skillet.

Nice pan but with problems
Great pan. Well made but not well designed. The handle weights to much and the pan can't heat properly if it empty. It needs food to sit properly.

Perfect pan
I love this little pan; it is the perfect size for small meals. I am becoming a big fan of Techef products.

poor design, will lead to burns
I saw the reviews where people said they grabbed the handle and were burned. Well, I should have listened as I just made my first eggs and was burned when I went to grab the handle and that was after looking at it and actually thinking about it before cooking the eggs. The plastic part of the handle is plenty big enough to grab but you need to be paying attention. I just forgot. It is too easy to grab the metal part of the handle which gets as hot as the rest of the pan. I have no other pans in our large collection (including other mini pans) where this has been a problem. Poor design and now regretting this purchase. It moots any good thing about the pan like the fact that it is totally non-stick.Update: I need to add that I bought this because I thought my eggs would fit my toast. It is the right size for that but the problem is I have not once been able to flip two eggs without breaking them. Because this is rectangle, when you try to get under the eggs with a spatula from the long end with the slant all the eggs do is bunch up toward the other side. Honestly, I have not once flipped the eggs with the eggs staying intact and I have used this abut a dozen times now. I have not tried making little omelets and the one I got is too small for that anyways. One egg probably would work better but I'm not a one egg guy.
