This will work on old kenmore stackable dryers.
Dryer stopped heating so I opened up our old kenmore stackable dryer and noticed the old one was broken (not melted). Although the model number wasn’t listed on this product it looked identical (besides the old one being darker from use) to the OEM one, which I think was from 1998 or something.Anyway I installed it and ran few loads while closely supervising and making sure nothing was smoking or getting hotter than usual, and it’s been running strong since!Good product, great price!Side note: maybe I can help some of you out. I am no genius, but I see some reviews with photos of the item melted apart, and one where the person said it made their dryer red hot… well to them: I think you were probably missing some of the retaining clips or didn’t evenly stretch the coil between each one, leaving slack, which when the drum starts spinning and bouncing, made the coil contact the the metal case of the dryer and made the case part of the circuit, therefore turning it red hot, and for the lucky few, melted coils.Anyway, be very careful when doing this, this is something that should really be left to a professional.

Warning - almost started my house on fire
The first one of these I bought lasted less than a week, then the wire broke in half. The second one I got, was initially working, but not getting very hot. I finally went out and found an OEM original replacement. The day it arrived I went down to our dryer, and noticed it was very hot, despite having not used it in 24 hours. I checked the interior drum with my infrared thermometer and it read nearly 150 degrees. Again, this was after the dryer had not been on since the day before. So I immediately unplugged it, took out the drum, and discovered this heating element had broke (again), but this time, the broken piece had someone melted / welded itself to the metal backing plate, and was somehow generating very high heat, despite being broke in two and the dryer being shut off.I replaced it with my OEM part, and now the dryer works perfectly again.

Very thin wire
Easy to install however I have replaced this wire 2 times and both times it has broken during first use. Hopefully it will do better on a different model
