Mr. Clean, 8 count

My wife forwarded me a link to a Website page about cleaning and how to do it easier. It mentioned this product by name. I got curious. I looked it up on YouTube. After watching the videos I knew I had to try it. In this world of ridiculous claims on the Internet, anything that claims to be "magical" should be taken with more than a few pinches of salt, so no one could be blamed for being skeptical of the miraculous properties of this product. That said...Whoa.If you have any appliances that are tarnished, shoes that are grimy and blackened, walls that are scuffed, sinks, counters, etc that are grimy, greasy, and gross...your problems are OVER. I immediately tried it on scuff marks on a wall. Gone. I tried it on black marks on the fridge. Gone. I tried it on counter tops, the stove, the shower, the grimy rusted gross-looking toaster. If the dirt don't come off of something when you use this product, it would probably strip the surface to remove it. My toaster looks brand new! ALL of my kitchen appliances look YEARS newer. The kitchen and bathroom SPARKLE!!! But by far I was most impressed with the use of this product on hard floors in the kitchen, bathroom, and entryway. Dark mud spots and ground-in grime I thought would never come out MELTS away when you apply this product with a little water. Wow. Now the floors look almost brand-new! Believe it or not, this product works so well that it actually makes cleaning (dare I say it) FUN!!!!Now there are a few warnings with this product. It's not a long-reusable product. It's basically (as others have pointed out) EXTREMELY fine sand paper. As such, it DISINTEGRATES as you use it, leaving a milky residue and particles behind. Simply wipe them away with a damp cleaning rag. Be careful about what you use this product on, as some surfaces WILL strip off when you clean them (ultra-fine sand-paper remember?). Don't scrub your own skin with the thing because it WILL scrape your top layer of skin off along with your hair. All that said, it's generally QUITE safe to use, and eliminates the need for harsh chemicals when cleaning just about anything (which is good for your health AND good for the environment). And finally, while this product is great for cleaning shoes, I'd wait until it's almost used up before cleaning shoes with it. It gets shoes clean amazingly well, but disintegrates like newspaper ash when rubbed against shoes. Better for your budget long-term if you disintegrate an almost-used-up magic eraser eh?Well, there you have it. I'm replacing most of my cleaning products with this one. It's cheap (less than a dollar each if you buy in bulk), cleans AMAZINGLY well, and it's ridiculously easy and fun to use. Highly Recommended. It deserves MUCH higher praise than many deserving five star products.

hello,i was skeptical about these types of products for cleaning. we have used mr. clean products for millions of years, but never just a sponge. does it clean stuff? yes, is it environmentally "green?" yes... no other spray, liquid other than water was used to get a bunch of items super clean. it does not scratch any smooth surface, it just gets it clean. how does it work? it has fine fibers that lift and trap dirt. it says on the label to not use it on fine smooth surfaces, but we did not notice any scratches on a smooth gelcoat and rubber bumpers of a boat. (e.g. teak and the tung oil that had dried near it on the gelcoat came off with several swipes) the product has been given a bad name due to some odd uses, but has been debunked by tests and common sense. snopes mentions that it is safe for household uses. why would someone use it on their face? it is a household product for the house... but, it cleaned stuff that we thought were permanent marks, only to have it disappear after a little more water was added to the pad.be forewarned, the product does fall apart as it is being used. your fingers push during the cleaning action make depressions on the sponge pad, then as you use the same pad for more cleaning, gradually, it breaks off until there are only little pieces in your hand. i used a 50 cent size piece to clean a bumper completely, but water on the pad was necessary. make sure you wipe with a dry towel as you clean a dirty area. that works the best. this is a fabulous product and we will continue to use it to clean everything. so far, my hands have not fallen off ha ha

Algae that was once extremely difficult to remove from the glass panes of my aquariums, now comes off easily. Even dot algae, which is very difficult to remove.The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser pads can also be cut into small pieces, and be reused several times before they need to be disposed of, enabling you to get more out of each piece.This is a first rate product, and the second time that I have found a cleaning product which can be purchased at your local supermarket, that cleans better than similar products sold by specialists for a particular hobby.The first product was years ago. It's called Softscrub. And for decades we have used it to clean the non skid decks on our sailboats, since it's far superior to the cleaning products being offered by the recreational boating industry.As far as I am concerned, both of these products have no equal when it comes to cleaning a surface area. As for the Softscrub, if you're a boater, make sure you purchase it at a supermarket and not at a boating retail store, since the recreational boating industry became aware of Softscrub's benefits years ago, and began stocking it on their shelves, charging the requisite price markup that characterizes the recreational boating industry.As for Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser, in my opinion, there's no better cleaning product available for cleaning surface areas, regardless of price. What a bargain!Highly recommended!
