So far so good.
Above are the before pics of what I bought this kit to replace. I bought this kit and installed it on DEC 17th of 2023 in my 05 nissan xterra with 243,398 miles . It's now May 9th 2024 with 247,000 miles and it's held up so far. Although I've only put on 3,602 miles on it which isn't even one oil change it's still holding strong. If it breaks I'll be sure to come leave another review so everyone knows. I'll also come back on and leave a review when I start hearing the whining noise again. (Hopefully not for a very long time!) It says in the description that it's OEM but doesn't say it in the title so IDK. It seemed like it was some really good product. I would say exactly identical to what was being replaced but you never know until it's been driven to S#!&. I read that one guy on here said it lasted a year and then broke but that's it, no other information. Fingers crossed for my S#!& BOX!Update 8/31/2024 engine at 252,843 miles. Been towing a small camping trailer all over Utah (mountains) at higher RPMs with no issues so far.

Lasted ~12k miles and failed
The main primary chain guide has a plastic piece that presses against the primary chain tensioner. This plastic broke off and the tensioner is fully extended and maxed out now. Can no longer hold tension against the chain and the primary chain is slapping around against the timing cover causing a loud rattle. Here we go again… my nightmare was having to do this more than once. Ordered a kit from Z1 Off-road that has all OEM parts instead. I’m going to replace everything again while I’m in there even though only the guide broke (so far). Don’t recommend cheaping out on this even if you’re just using the kit for a simple guide. Clearly not gonna last. Bought this kit two years ago
