A fantastic collection of essays
This book reminds me a little of the 'Dictionary of Gnosis...' by Hanegraaff, Faivre et al. and much like it the writing soars and you will find much here to enjoy. One thing which is very interesting is that each essay is presented in a little bit of a different perspective than those common to the books of Faivre, for example. The essay on Platonism is very different from what you find in the genre-defining, magisterial works of Armstrong, Dillon, Wallis, Finamore and Shaw. The same goes for the editors own entry on Jacob Boehme. But, like I said, that is what makes this book particularly interesting. Thank you.

Some light reading
Just kidding, this is pretty much a text book and will take some time to read and understand. I am not in school but still like to learn new things. Knowledge is power. Expand your boundaries.

Appears of great quality but two pages fell out immediately upon opening
Immediately after opening, two pages cleanly fell out from a poor binding i assume. No comment yet on the content of the book

The book is great, if only Amazon would let me rent it!
Wouldn't allow me to rent the ebook despite it being an option on the original page. Not happy with having to buy it, especially since I am a university student. No complaints whatsoever about the book itself thus far, this rating is purely for the Amazon interface relating to this book.
