Effective and good quality mirror replacement
Very pleased with quality and price of this mirror. Easy to fit. The most difficult part was removing the old electrical spade connectors which were corroded together. Squirted some WD40 on them, left for 5 minutes and was then able to unplug them.

Fits and works
My original mirror randomly fell off in the summer heat (common issue with mk7 golf).I fitted this mirror a couple months ago and it’s fit for purpose. The heated element still works which is a good sign. Easy enough to install if you know what you’re doing. Plenty of tutorials out there if you get stuck.

It fits ok but doesn't heat up as quickly as the original that came with the the car also the distance vector seems less

Good replacement for broken VW mirror glass
Both wing mirrors on my Golf lost their glass in short succession due to adhesive failure. On the first occasion, a local repair shop charged over £100 for fitting what I presume was an official VW spare part. When the second mirror failed a few days later, I ordered a replacement from Amazon for only £12. This arrived next day, and installation was quite straightforward after studying some uTube instructional videos. After a few months use, both mirrors are functioning equally well, including their de-icing capabilities.

AS GOOD AS THE VW ORIGINAL AND AT A THIRD OF THE PRICE!
At a fraction of the VW price, choosing this mirror was a "no-brainer". It looks the same and works the same.

Exactly what I ordered

OK, but not great.
For a tenner, what can be expected. Firstly the metal clip/locator at the outside of the mirror was different to the original (Sharp edged) and we found that it dug into the body of the mirror once installed and caused the mirror to judder when moved. I replaced with the original clip and iy worked better. The mirror itself is OK, but isn't a perfect reflection, not sure how to describe it... a little off balance, blurry. For the price it is OK I guess.
