simple to use and works
I stucks it on, cut the wire on it to activate it and I have an hour meter. My previous meter which was supposed to tell me rpm required wrapping a wire on the spark plug wire, It didn't work from the get go and never got it to work.

Solid product.
Awesome little product for keeping track of hours on equipment. I have one on my air compressor and my inverter generator. Super simple to use.

Does not work
Put 2 hours on my mower with the meter mounted how the packaging recommends and it doesn’t work. Still reads 0 hours. I will be buying a traditional hour meter.

Works Well WIth Air Compressor Pump But No Timer Reset, Watch Our Test Video
The media could not be loaded. I got the Aimilar timer for my 30-gallon air compressor to help me keep track of oil changes. Read on for our evaluation-- MEDIUM SENSITIVITY WORKED FINE: Since the timer has to be installed vertically, it's in the medium sensitivity mode but did not have a problem sensing the air compressor pump running as shown in the video.-- MOUNTS WITH 2 SIDE TAPE: The back of the unit is not flat. So I had to use 2 layers of foam 2 side tape to make sure it held well to the air compressor pump. I used 3M foam 2 side tape to attach the face of the air compressor pump.-- PROVIDES VIBRATION SENSE FEEDBACK: The timer worked well and sensed the compressor running and there is a small area of the display that activates when the timer is running to give you some positive feedback and it working.-- NO TIMER RESET: It would have been nice if it could be reset, say at the oil change, but there is no ability to reset the time that I can read anywhere or find on the device.-- INCOMPLETE PACKAGE: The delivered package had a large empty blister meant for something but it was empty...not sure what that was about ....maybe a screwdriver?-- NEED TO SNIP THE WIRE LOOP: Luckily I read the instructions as you need to snip the wire loop for the unit to activate.-- OPERATING LIFE: The webpage says it has an operating life of 2 years and I'll report back especially if stops sooner than that.If you found this review helpful, please vote "Helpful" using the button below.

AIMILAR Vibration Hour Meter
I added this meter to my new (DXCM303) Dewalt air compressor. It was added before the break-in period of 1/2 hour.I mounted it with double-sided tape on the mounting plate between the pump and the motor.I clipped the wire as instructed to in the instructions, started the timer and turned on the compressor. The meter immediately started to flash the hour glass indicating it was working. It checked reasonably close to the timer for my liking, about 6 minutes to a tenth of an hour.Overall pleased with the operation. One thing, actually two minor things that I was not pleased with are,1, You cannot maintain the battery it is sealed in the unit.2, There is no "Reset" button or a way to reset to "0" for next service interval.I would have paid a little more for those two features.Overall I am pleased with the product at this time.

Works as intended
I bought one of these to track hours on a commercial electric pressure washer to track maintenance intervals. I used some silicone adhesive on the back of this unit to adhere it to the controller on the pump. If you have a suitable surface, you can use some small screws, nuts/bolts, or rivets to adhere it to whatever you'd like to track usage hours on. I'm not sure how sensitive the device is but it definitely works on our pressure washer. I can see this being useful for tracking runtime on many other pieces of equipment.
