Amazon BasicsFlea and Tick Topical Treatment for Small Dogs (5-22 pounds), 3 Count (Previously Solimo)

I'm having an awful time with flea this summer, with my dog and cat. I've been using Amazon brand flea Meds, but now it's not working. I'm continually washing blankets and bedding. I'm spraying flea repellent on the couch and using a flea comb. Their jumping on me occasionally too! Yuk!!

New update:So, back when this brand was called Solimo, which I believe to be an Amazon company as well, I didn’t really have any issues with it. Then it was unavailable for a few months. I guess they rebranded and changed it to Amazon Basics during that time. So I switched to using an alternative brand until it was available once more, and had no problems whatsoever with that substitute brand. I was eager to get back to the rebranded Solimo one. Because it was (slightly) cheaper and my dog didn’t have any issues with it. Ever since I made the switch back, my dog has had serious issues; chewing, uncontrollable biting, lots of eye and nose irritation… need I say more? Well, today I learned that he actually has fleas. This stuff is simply not working and it might work for the first few days, but wears off quickly, even if I don’t bathe him within the first two or three weeks after administering. And I can’t retreat him because it can only be given once every 30 days. It is not just my dog that is having these issues. My mother’s dog is also suffering. We weren’t able to find out what was going on for the longest time. Now I am convinced it is this brand, because the timeline just makes sense. Especially after I have eliminated many different things in my home that could cause all irritations for him. Nothing worked. Not even prescription allergy medication. I will be making a switch back to the other brand, effective immediately. Goodbye junky flea meds!(I use a generic form of K9 Advantix now. I cannot remember what it’s called but the box is similar to the name brand. That one works with no issues.)Initial review:My little pup (4~ months old) tends to be sensitive to most fragrances in our home and shampoos. So he requires a more delicate approach. To my surprise, he didn’t have a reaction to these.

The price attracted me to this product. So glad it did as it works just as well as the more expensive ones on the market. No more flea problems at my house!

Excellent product. Great price. It’s exactly the same as the more expensive ones. I haven’t had any issues with it. My Shih Tzu is in great health. When I tried avoiding chemical treatments for fleas and ticks, my little dog ended up with a fever and became extremely ill.

We were looking for something to use on our puppy who was infested with fleas when we got her. At first this worked great, she didn’t seem to have any fleas so we were very pleased with the product. But the effects only lasted about 3 weeks and then she seemed to have fleas all over her once again. In the products defense, it does say “up to 30 days” but if I’m putting something like this on my dog to keep away fleas and it says to only apply every 30 days, I don’t want to have a week of lapse in protection. We did end up reapplying it a few days after the 3 week mark after reading other reviews and answered questions from others who had similar experiences. The results from the second application were lacking. The fleas might have diminished a little but were still very easy to spot and I don’t think I’m even going to bother using the 3rd dose. This product might be good as an added layer of protection but it’s not a good first line of defense in my opinion. It is a cheap alternative to other flea topical treatments though, so if someone was wanting to try it, I’d recommend using a flea shampoo first and then apply the topical and continue to be proactive with using sprays in the house to keep the fleas away and maybe even a flea collar (definitely check with your vet first about using the combination of products).

The Amazon Basics Flea & Tick Topical for dogs is hands down the very best! The quality is good and it works great! The packaging is totally on point and it's a piece of cake to use! I really like that it comes with 3 tubes! I think it's great that it helps protect my dog from fleas and ticks as well! Overall I give this product two great big thumbs way up and would definitely recommend it!

My dog has been on this brand for 3 years and it keeps the fleas away! You need to apply it on the same day of each month so we plan her bath/grooming trips for this.
