Maybe I got lucky?
This was precisely what I wanted and it was less expensive than most so I ordered it. Then I dug deeper into the reviews and wondered if I had made a mistake. Fortunately, the unit I got performs flawlessly so far. 60w is plenty of power since this thing gets so hot it can burn a hole in the wood. The temperature dial has been consistent and easy to control. The pens are comfortable to use unless you crank up the heat too high, then they get a little warm. It heats up quickly and recovers quickly as you burn so it's easy to find a temperature where you can pace yourself for a controlled burn with consistent shading. There is a nice selection of nibs and they can be bent fairly easily if desired. I've really been enjoying this pyrography kit. If it proves to be more reliable than some of the other reviews suggest I will consider it a great buy. It really is fun to use!

Step your game up!
After using the standard $20 burner kit that you can find at any store for several months, I felt like I peaked on what I could do and was limited by the hardware at hand. After reading a lot of other reviews here I decided to take the plunge and go with the Tekchic kit.*cue A Whole New World*Stepping up to this kit has upped my game in so many ways! I no longer dread how long projects will take or try to dial back ideas because of what I have available to me. There are a ton of tips that come with the kit and I spent some time on some spare wood to learn which ones suit me best. Now, depending on the project, I swap out and use two main tips and love being able to outline with one, then immediately switch to the second burner and do fill or shading. I’ve cut down on soooo much time not having to wait for your burner to cool down before swapping out.Love how it comes with its own case where I can put everything in between burns or if I’ll ever need to transport it. My wife loves it because I am less likely to leave everything lying around in her creative space! My only gripe is that I would be careful on how your burner sits in the plastic holder. Once when I put it in the holder, the pen rotated because of the cord and the tip melted some of the plastic. I had to spend some time cleaning the melted plastic off the tip.Other than that, absolutely stellar product!!

Does not come with a case! Everything else is a ‘10’
Would give five stars if they had just given me a case to store everything in. I asked Rufus if it came with a case and the response was yes, but I did not receive one. But the tips and the secondary burner really saves a lot of time. I love being able to change the temperature as needed. Much better than a beginner wood-burning kit

Learning a new skill
This review is written by Mrs. Burrows,This review is for the "TEKCHIC Pro1 Professional Wood Burning Kit with 2 Wood burners for Wood Burning Pyrography". I haven't really used it enough to give a thorough review at this time but after I have used it some more I will edit this review. So its a nice little machine, it heats up super fast. Hopefully amazon will let the pictures I have attached show up. This is my first time ever doing any king of pyrography so I have started out small with some 4in x 4in wood pieces that I bought on amazon. I can tell you that reading the little manual sheet that comes with it is a huge help even it the manual its self isnt very big at all. Anyhow so far I have had some fun with it and I like using it. It would be awesome if the machine would have come with a sheet on the tips/nibs with the names of them and what they are best used for but I am sure there is a youtube video out there that has all that information handy.

Works like a charm but power button hidden
I had thought the unit was dead out of the box. No display and neither pen got hot. Started to pack the unit back up to send back and noticed the power switch on the side of the unit. I think some instructions would have been nice.So after finally finding the power switch, unit works great. Fast to heat up and cool down. Great unit for the beginner who doesn't want to spend a lot. Also better than a solid point burner.

Great product!
I bought this back in late Jan with very little experience with wood burning (a cheap home depot wood burn pen) and the difference is well worth the money. The temp control, variety of pins and the grips have allowed me to accomplish a number of projects in great detail and satisfaction. I would recommend this to anyone interested in wood burning.I did run into a snafu a few weeks after use. The pens stopped heating up and aside from ripping a part the pens, I tried everything reasonable to troubleshoot the issue. My hunch is that the wires may have gotten too hot for too long and caused some damage. I reached out to the supplier and she was able to ship out a new unit with me returning the old one within a week. It has been a couple of months and no signs of irregularities. The product is great, the hobby is soothing and the supplier stands by their product with customer satisfaction in mind.

Lasted maybe 20 hours of use
The unit slowly lost power over several days. When it worked, pens get hot to hold for long because they're plastic with no insulation. This is identical to many others sold under different names, and there is no name or any other identification anywhere on the case of this one, nor is the seller the same as the brand. None of the suppliers provide any useful specifications, like wire gauge, and all of them call their units "professional", which is ludicrous. This one has what appear to be very thin (20 gauge or thinner) wires on the pen (it isn't marked in the standard way!). There is a 3-prong (grounded) plug, but the ground wire is cut off in the box. There isn't much to these devices electronically, and I'll revise this review if/when I find a better one for a reasonable price. I'd look for a well insulated handle and collet type nib retainers (rather than screws). I prefer plain wire nibs because they're inexpensive and reasonably easy to interchange, and you can make your own from cheap nichrome wire.
