Libbey Margarita Party Glasses, Set of 12

Great glasses, durable and look nice.

We bought these because we just picked up a new Margarita Maker and was going to put it through a long party night. My wife insisted that we serve Margaritas in glasses instead of plastic cups - so we were really looking for cheap.These fit the affordability factor, and surprised us. They actually feel heavy duty and not like lightweight plastic that was sure to break. Our party lasted quite a while and all glasses ended up in perfect condition. Again - they just don't have a cheap feel to them.My favorite part has to be the care taken in shipping them. They were delivered inside their own carrying container that has 12-individual spaces, and that was wrapped in heavy-duty bubble wrap. My mail goes through the USPS and then through a couple of mail rooms and not a single glass was damaged. But the fact that the shipping case then doubles as a storage container that I can throw in the basement until he next party - was an amazing benefit that I didn't see coming. I would totally recommend this to others who are looking for a cheap set. I think they are great for the value.

While these are label nominally Margarita glasses, in reality they are just great cocktail glasses, period. It's a nice shape with just the right volume. They come in a nice box, with good cardboard separators, which we are using to store them in between parties. The weight of the glass is just right - not to light and not too heavy. A thumbs up from us.

Terrible packaging- 2 out of 12 glasses were broken. Frustrating!

The glasses themselves are fine and very nice. I bought this item as a gift but they are just in a box with a lid that doesn't seal and only have a very thin piece of cardboard in between the glasses. The first time it was shipped a couple glasses were broken and I had to send for a replacement. The second shipment came mostly intact, there was a small chip in one of the glasses, but my friend said it wasn't worth sending back. I would recommend the manufacturer find a better way to pack them for travel.

A dozen very nice Margarita glasses for less than two bucks each? Yes. Decently heavy glass, no flaws that I could see. After reading a couple reviews, I was worried about breakage in the shipping process but they came very well packaged with nothing broken. Someone indicated one or more of their glasses had a sharp rim -- I felt each rim as I pulled them from the box. No problems. Just nice glasses -- a great way to have enough for a party economically. I hand washed them. I see no reason why they wouldn't be safe in a dishwasher but the shape is awkward to get them in there safely, I thought. And later, I popped them back in their storage box till next time. They also were eligible for Prime two day shipping. They aren't big Margarita glasses but that's fine with me.
