I purchased this for a Lincoln 3350 series hood. Installation was easy enough and I've used it a few times so far. But, as it's winter up here in the north, it is prone to fogging up on me so I won't have a true impression of it until spring arrives and I can use it and actually see what I'm welding.I does definitely magnify what you are viewing though, and because of the series hood I have, there is room left over it so I can look around without having it magnified.

I hate to say that I needed this. I've been in denial for years and finally accepted that I needed cheaters. These are unfortunately not glass and scratch easy. It's that way with any brand you buy.... Thanks to the world police. My welds have been 100% better and stress has gone down ten fold on tricky jobs. I would suggest buying a few different magnification levels to figure out which one you need.

When comparing magnifying lenses, I found that the Lincoln brand was for some reason much lower priced than some of the other big-name brands, which was hard to understand because basically these items are all the same material and a standard size. Although my helmet (Miller Infinity) was not listed as compatible, the lens is a perfect fit in the adapter that came with the helmet. And let me tell you, the difference in acuity with this lens in is exceptional! If you've got poor close-up vision like me, then definitely give this lens a try! (note, you should ask your optician what diopter would be best suited for your particular vision, I got the 2.0 because my eyesight is really poor...).

Really helps you see better. I'd bought a 2.00 and a 1.5. I ended up sticking with the 1.5 because I can leave my glasses on too. With the 2.00 I had to take my glasses off to weld because the combination of the two of them was too much. Then I had to put my glasses back on when I did something else. With the 1.5 it was a good combination. But that's just for my vision, your results may vary. But the lens was nice quality.

The lens is installed and while I haven't welded with it yet, but just looking through the undarkend lens it appears I will be able to see without my cheater glasses on. Worth the money.
