Solid value for the price.
Out of the box this is what you expect from Viewsonic. Solidly built nice brushed metal frame & base not plastic, has a bit of weight to it. Picture quality is very good even running at the lower 2560 x 1440 res, I honestly don't notice a difference running at the higher native 2 & 4K resolutions for my needs and it definitely eases the strain on older video cards. Movie streaming and text applications are sharp, clear and very customizable in the onboard controls. Does take a little playing with setting to find your preference's and there's no real guides to go by, all trial & error. It's an easy swap to 2 or 4K in the desktop video controls for movies and the this monitor really delivers for this kind of usage and most streaming formatsAt 60hz it won't dazzle you with higher end gaming at max resolution and again the drop to 2560 x 1440 isn't noticeable except on the newer gen Ultra high requirement games . Currently running back through my old library of action games and this breathes new life to them. Running on a Nvidia GTX 1070 it still performs beyond my expectations. My only two negatives are the height is fixed, can't adjust up or down and the field of view is a bit narrow. Sitting straight on it's great, doesn't take a lot of angling off to the side to see color fade.

Appears to work well
I've only been able to use this for a couple hours because of Amazon sending me an incorrect mini pc, which had to be returned. Until I get a replacement, I don't have the ability to provide 4K input to this monitor. What I did see looked good. Wish monitors could provide at least 2" of vertical height adjustment in their support stands. Delivery was quicker than originally forecasted.

Wow. 4K monitor is impressively bad.
I have owned two of these, the 2K and the 4K, and I cannot believe they share the same model numbers. The 2K monitor is absolutely fantastic and I am still using it now after 5 years. Perfect regular use computer monitor. The 4K version is completely different, and I'm not sure why it shares the same model number. Other than the stand everything else is completely different. The picture is so dull, colors are absolutely horrendous and washed out. Also mine arrived with a vertical line on the screen, so the QC isn't up to par. I'm telling you the colors and picture was so bad, unlike anything I've ever seen before, I decided to take time out of my day to write about it. I wouldn't even buy it for $99. If you are looking for 4K, this is definitely not the one.

Don't let the negative reviews get in the way.
Display is sharp, bright, and color is perfect. This monitor is paired with a 2K display that is in portrait mode. Using Nvidia Desktop Manager or Fancy Zones as part of Windows Power toys I can split the the display into 4 - 1080p displays, smaller ones for email, etc... Or use the whole display for video and photo work. Some of the comments said the stand was not stable. I don't have that problem. The stand appears to be cast aluminum, very attractive. I put it together, and used loctite blue on the threads of the screws, and have had zero vibration issues. Very pleased with this display. Typically I prefer Benq or ViewSonic displays, and the price and quality is perfect for my professional use.

Nice price for 4k
Arrived February 28, packing a bit rough, but still producy in good condition, unpacking was as usual, all accessories were there to setup, ViewSonic this brand name i had in CRT monitors, I owned at least 3 and never bad, now this 4k VA monitor looked OK and functions as advertise, coming a super curved 34 inch monitor, that was bit different, Yes the computer regonised it as a 4k monitor and looks good, but 4 years from now how will look then, time only tell. Overall I am wait see and do further color adjustments, but for the price a 4k monitor with a reliable brand, I still tell others to take a chance

Great Picture. No Issues
I got the 4k model. I bought it used from Amazon for $240. It was like new with no issues. It came in a plain box.For business or programming applications the 4k monitor is the best. Don't get a curved screen. With 4k your screen can fit four 1080 p screens.Mine has the power & settings buttons on the lower front corner of the display instead of behind the display as pictured. I like it much better with the buttons on the front where it is easy to access. My model was exactly the same as the one pictured. So, I don't know why my buttons were on the front. The manual is useless. I had to figure out the settings buttons by experimenting. It wasn't too difficult if you are technically inclined.I had a 2 yr old LG 32 in 4k monitor that fell over during the CA earthquake and broke the screen. The Viewsonic has a more stable base and I like the picture better than the LG.The LG had a thinner monitor screen than the Viewsonic, but it is not bulky. Unless you look at it from the side all the time you wouldn't notice it. They seemed to weigh about the same.I had a Viewsonic around 30 years ago and loved the screen quality back then. So, I bought one now and the quality is still great for business or photo editing applications. I probably wouldn't recommend it for gaming because there are faster monitors available at a much higher cost.
