I have three of these.
I keep one of these on each level of my home. I use a basic dust filter in my HVAC system to reduce strain on the motor, and then rely on these to capture any additional debris. They are very unobtrusive and run quietly. I typically run them for two to four hours per day. Judging by the dirty filters they are doing a good job.I use the manufacturers filters as saving a few bucks with an after market filter does not make sense to me. The machine itself is little more than a fan creating suction to pull air through the filter, the filter is the important part. Why would you skimp on them?I'm really happy with these and I think that you will be too.

Great Purchase -- I plan to purchase more of these for other rooms.
This item was a great purchase. Set up was pretty simple. There is an app you need to download to your phone which allows you to set up a schedule for the filter to run. It also alerts you when the air isn't clean. If something burns in the toaster OR you're cooking something with a strong smell -- the filter warns you that the air is not clean (assuming it is near the kitchen). My plan is to purchase more of these. This one currently sits in our living room but I also had one closer to the bed when my wife was dealing with some medical issues that required that she keep everything sanitized. The device itself is remarkably quiet and only really gets audible when the air needs a major cleaning. It is relatively light so moving it from one room to another isn't problematic.

In 48 hours, I can tell I was breathing clean air. There’s a big difference.
I vape and I was starting to smell nicotine, so decided to buy tha small Levoit air purifier. I’ve been carrying it from my living room to bedroom where it has made a huge difference however, I recently learned that I had dust mites and that air purifiers help with that as well so I’m purchasing one for each room in my home. My cousin owns a few as well and they last forever. She’s always had them in her home now I know whyThe filters get changed about every six months if you leave it on constantly. I didn’t splurge on the Wi-Fi feature which is $50 extra. I’m on a budget and I’m fine getting up and turning it on or switching the modes. My con is that the high mode is a little bit noisy with tv on. I don’t normally have it on high sometimes just for an hour or so. Other than that I love it.

Cost effective for small spaces/limited use
An air purifier is not a complicated device. It is a fan, and an air filter. The fan pulls air through the air filter, and catches various particles and impurities in the air. As long as you have a decent HEPA filter, and a fan that has enough velocity to circulate the room air through the filter effectively, it will work to clean the air. You can build one yourself with a box fan and some high quality furnace filters and duct tape if you have to.So what distinguishes this one from the hundreds of others out there, why is it so popular?(1) Low up front costs - this has enough power to handle a small room effectively and a true HEPA filter at a pretty low initial cost.(2) Easy to live with - the fan is very quiet except on high, and even on high it isn't obnoxiously loud. Changing the filter takes about 10 seconds and is easy to do. There is a pre-filter to catch large dust/animal hair and the like which you can vacuum to extend the life of the HEPA filter for small particles. The unit itself is not huge or ugly, so it can sit in the corner of most rooms without being objectionable.(3) Available filters - this unit's extreme popularity means that there will likely be filters available for many years.(4) It does work - I bought an air quality meter after the recent wildfire smoke episode, and it shows me that this thing does a pretty good job in small rooms. In bigger rooms it will still provide some benefit, but it is really not able to move enough air quickly enough to clean a large room.Downsides:The filters are relatively small, so they will have to be changed fairly frequently if you run the unit constantly. How frequently? I don't know, your mileage will vary depending on how many pets you have, how much wildfire smoke is in your area, etc. But I would expect to buy at least two a year if comparing this to other units that may have larger filters you need to change less often. So think about the total running costs and not just the up front cost when comparison shopping here. If you are thinking about saving money by trying to run this in a bigger room than it is designed for, don't go down that road. You do need to size your unit to the area you are trying to keep clean. A large room needs a larger unit with a bigger fan and a bigger filter. Also, all of these things are quieter if not running on high. So it is better to get a bigger unit even one that handles more than you are asking it to, and then run it slower and change the filters less often versus trying to save money up front and then driving the thing as hard as it will go to barely get any benefit.

Definitely worth the investment in your family's health!!
These are the best air purifiers we have ever used! We bought the teal/green toxin absorber filters. They trap everything from dust, pet hair, and odors from pets, cooking, etc. We had an issue with mold in our basement, and the mold spores in the air made us sick. After cleaning the old and running two of these air purifiers with the toxin filters, within days, we began feeling much better. These air purifiers are worth the investment. We love the night setting while we are sleeping. It is so quiet and does not keep us up at night. They are super easy to replace and vacuum out. We vacuum ours out about once a week and replace the filters about every 6-8 months. They are very sturdy, which is a plus. Definitely recommended!!

The Best Air Purifier
This air purifier is the best we have found. We have 4 different kinds of air purifiers in our home, as my spouse has immense allergy problems. None of the others work as good as this one. The first week we tried this in our living space. It pulled so much dust out of the air; there was a dust sheet on the filter. We cleaned it off and moved it to our bedroom. His sleep improved immensely! We purchased a second air filter for our den where he spends most of his time. As the other purifiers break, we will replace them with this one.
