Great coffee, great service from Amazon
This was a repeat order which arrived on time in good condition. I have not yet started on this batch but have no reason to believe it will not be as excellent as always.

Best dark beans, strong and full of flavour
Product review: STARBUCKS Espresso Roast Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee, 200 g (Pack of 6)I grind beans with Krups grinder and then use coffee with my Melitta LOOK Therm filter coffee machine.I consider myself quite a hobbyist when it comes to coffee (not quite a connoisseur yet) and occasionally I buy beans from local Belfast roasters (SD Bells) but they are quite expensive so not my typical everyday coffee, just special occasions. As grocery prices go ridiculously high (and Sainsbury's increased this Starbucks from already high £3.40 in Dec '22 to £4.40 in Jan '23, so goodbye Sainsbury's) , I am always on the lookout for good coffee at reasonable price.I am truly in love with this Starbucks Dark Roast but I always mix my beans - sometimes with Lavazza and sometimes with other newly discovered brands. And I can always taste the distinctive kick form Starbucks in the finished cup.One last comment for the price: I have added this product to my wishlist when it was priced at £20+ (can't remember exactly) and my recommendation is do NOT buy this if it's priced at more than £18 because it's simply OVERPRICED at that level, nothing to do with quality. Keep it in your wishlist or subscribe to get extra discounts. In the end, it's a lovely coffee full of strength and aroma and I will always come back to it.

My favourite coffee, but......
This is my favourite coffee. I drink it on the high street and although I can't replicate the same taste at home, I still haven't found a better bean for making lattes at home. However, this batch was produced in November last year, so just over 6 months ago and there's just under 6 months left until the best before date, so why ship this so late? Today's date is 10th of May, for context.I generally get though a packet a month having a coffee at home almost every day. I do take a few holidays too though, so that evens out the packet a month over 6 months. It just means I might finish these 6 packets after the best before date and I don't understand why it's sat in a warehouse for half of it's shelf life, so i've deducted a star as it relates to the quantity sold and the likelihood that this might be past it's best when I finish it.That said, it is proving difficult to source these beans locally these days, hence me purchasing this way and it's a small issue relating to my drinking habits. For those who get through a batch quicker, then this might not matter to them.

Ridiculous price rise
I have had these beans on subscription for a long time with no complaints. They have a great flavour and were a god price. This month i found my next delivery had been put up by over £10. It's a ridiculous price rise and I have now cancelled and will buy elsewhere.

Great taste
I have been using this for an old De Longhi coffeee machine without an issue and the coffee strength and flavour are great. Now I have a Jura coffee machine and they specifically state that I should not use oliy beans which these are, so I have stopped buying them. Apparently the oily beans could gum up the grinder. Its a shame as other non-oily beans taste weak by comparison.

similarly to another reviewer, i have had these on subscription for forever and are delicious strong beans, however there is now a £10 price rise and will have to cancel my subscribe and save and order elsewhere
