Outstanding carbon fiber tripod. Outstanding value.
I’ve owned a lot of tripods over the years (primarily Manfrotto), and this is now one of my favourites.I wasn’t expecting to like it, honestly, but I needed an inexpensive B-cam tripod that would be light enough to travel with, and this fit the bill. If I didn’t like it, I figured I could give it away at the end of this travel shoot. At that price, you aren’t risking much. They massively overdelivered on this one. It’s a solid build. Lightweight. Easy to use. Super stable. Super smooth head. Lots of options for configuration.I’m buying another for A-cam, it’s that good.

GREAT Product, Unbelievable after sales support!
first let me start by saying this is the first Cayer product I have purchased and will not be the last. I purchased this tripod for 3 reasons, The price, 2 pan handles and the height that the tripod would reach. There are times when we need to shoot over a crowd and we need the extra height of the BV25LH. The fact that it has carbon fiber sticks is a plus and makes the tripod manageable, portable and very sturdy. We mount 2 Sony cameras with 7 inch displays and wanted the 2 pan handles to allow us to mount the remote control grips for the cameras on the pan bars. When the tripod arrived it only had one pan handle. I contacted sales support and received and almost immediate response from them (Sophia was GREAT!). They shipped out a replacement complete fluid head which would have had another pan bar, however the two different fluid heads had different thread pitch on the attachment screws for the pan bar and so this did not resolve the issue. I almost just re-tapped the head with the different thread size but checked the alignment of the bars before doing so. upon inspection I noticed that the two bars would not line up due the the teeth on the matting surfaces. when the bar was moved to the other side of the head it was one half a tooth of making the two handle offset. I again sent support an email and received another almost immediate response and they sent out another pan bar (and included an additional QR plate for the trouble), this time coming from China with an explanation that the two bars would not line up. To correct this problem Cayer machined a shim that sits between the pan bar and the fluid head and adjusts the rotation the one half tooth it is off and makes the two bars perfectly level and in line. After all of this, i now have the tripod I was looking for and it is perfect. the Fluid head (K3) is smooth in both the pan and tilt direction. the counter balance works great and drag can be set with the two screws on the head. Our Friday night High School football broadcasts are vastly improved with this tripod and support of the product was second to none! I would absolutely recommend the BV25LH to anyone wanting a Pro level tripod at a reasonable price with support that beats ALL of the competition. this tripod replaced a professional tripod costing 5 times the amount and it has so far delivered the same or better performance. The Cayer company did literally everything in their power to satisfy me as a customer and support their product. This kind of support is rare these days and is super refreshing, our US based companies could take a few lessons from Cayer and their willingness to go several miles to win a customer and our business.THANKS AGAIN Sophia and the Cayer support and engineering staff, well done!

Incredible value
Comparable to the small rig free blazer tripod, but this Cayer tripod is actually build really well. The FluidHead is well designed with smooth panning and tilt, the bracket is nice with a built in hex screwdriver too! Different handles with different lengths all come with the tripod along with a nice soft case. The carbon fiber legs are smooth and the feet are sturdy. The opening and closing of legs is also really nice, just a twist of one knob on each leg and you can freely adjust the height to a pretty usable level. Overall would definitely recommend! Was worried at first since I haven't heard much about Cayer, but this is definitely a sleeper tripod!

Had an issue - but it was resolved quickly
Update: Cayer was quick to get in touch and send a replacement head at no extra charge. Great customer service!Ordered 3 of these for a professional baseball team’s live production. A couple of months in, the tilt lock mechanism no longer tightens on one tripod and I have no way to receive any kind of restitution from Amazon or the company.

Schwarzenegger’s tripod
Besides the obvious, I got this tripod because of my soft spot for nice legs and lightning deals: this baby has them all.If this is not the mother of all tripods, it’s very close. Yes, I know that there are prestige brands out there that would frown at my statement but if that’s only if for you put the same importance on your baked potatoes as on your stake. From the engineering standpoint this tripod was built primarily for videographers. Since the needs of photographers are a subset of the requirements of videographers everyone can use it.My needs are mainly for landscape photography and occasional studio setting. I am unable to share the prevailing opinion that this is a light tripod. Maybe only for its size. At about five pounds and if you add another ten pounds of camera and a zoom lens you will not be travelling too far – unless you are built like Schwarzenegger (that is, before Sacramento). There are always 4x4’s that can take you places and if you want to photograph that valley at the crack of dawn you might need one.Nevertheless, I would certainly recommend it.

!!WoW A Must Buy!! X2
“I bought a second one” My first impression when unzipping the Video tripod was WOW! It was strong, heavy duty and just what I was looking for to handle the weight of all the equipment I have! The addition of the added larger feet at the base is what sold me on the design over all others but, what I did not notice while looking at your website was the extra bonus of the (spikes) so I can use my equipment on uneven (grass) I have not started shoot-ing yet, when I do I know I will not have any trouble adapting this equipment to any conditions that I may need to face. I’m very impressed and I believe if your looking at this post now your should take the chance and buy it just like i did! Thank you Cayer for your awesome design work and fast shipping!
