Great Range, pairs easily with 2 sets of earbuds.
Avantree Audikast Plus Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter for TV with Volume Control, aptX Low Latency Audio Adapter for 2 Headphones (Optical, AUX, RCA, USB), Class 1 Long Range 100ft - No Receiver ModeASIN# B07TLHRPDPI spend a few hours each night watching TV with my Mom, her time is getting short. She is also hearing impaired. I have a Trond BT transmitter that I've been using because on the great room TV we can pair with 2 sets of earbuds at the same time. The Trond(s) work great, but the reason I purchased this Avantree, because while using the Trond (I have 3, I tried all of them) on the TV or Roku device when paired with 2 sets of earbuds, the sound on one or both pairs would stutter and cut out repeatedly after about an hour of usage. So I figured the problem was the Tronds, turns out I was wrong So when hooked up the Avantree to the CATV, Roku, DVD - the sound would begin to stutter and cut out after about an hour of usage as well.I am stating this in case anyone out there has similar issues that this might help and save you a lot of frustration. And here was the problem. My Mom listens to TV on her earbuds ALL DAY long, the MPOW’s (currently sold on Amazon as MSTHOO and Ruebitrue, best all around earbuds you can get for the money) that I had purchased for her can hold a charge for a good 6 hours or more, and she uses them for around than 14 hours total, mostly for the news during the day. So both of her sets of earbuds go through an entire charge cycle every day. I purchased these most recent ones for her in December 2021 for Xmas. The problems started around early to middle of May 2022. After ruling out everything else and a whole lot of angry frustration, I had come to realize that the batteries on the earbuds had weakened and would start to fail at about 60 to 90 minutes of usage. So I am guessing they’re good for about 100+ charge cycles or so, they still work fine on their own, but when 2 are paired on the same transmitter they begin to have issues. Even if my pair of earbuds were almost new, if one pair of earbuds out of the two was weak, it would cause both pairs to stutter. (unless the receivers on the earbuds are burning out or weakening, still a possibility)Now back to the Avantree. The range was great, I could walk all the way out to my fence outside my home which is about 50 - 60 feet away, strong and clear signal, even with 2 sets of earbuds on at the same time. (I initially thought the range in the details was exaggerated, it was not, but see above for that issue) It was very easy to pair 2 sets of earbuds, just push a button, and the second set would connect. And it has a volume control, very handy on the Roku because the volume on that is weaker than on the CATV box. (The Roku is also on a DONGJIAN audio extractor, the main TV line out is awful, I had to use the line out/Roku remote with a BT transmitter, latency was very bad, and the extractor completely eliminates all latency on this device, COMPLETELY) Unfortunately I ended sending the Avantree back, not realizing the problem was the earbuds battery, weakened by high usage. If I realized that the earbuds were the problem, I would’ve not only kept this one for the CATV, I would’ve purchased another separate one to be used for the Roku so I wouldn’t have to switch them back and forth between the 2 devices. I hope the folks over at Avantree are reading this, my humblest of apologies, this whole Bluetooth tech is brand new to me, I didn’t start using any Bluetooth devices until September of 2020.I give this Avantree 5 stars all around, and I will be getting another one quite soon. I highly recommend, especially at the price point, it is HIGHLY competitive with other transmitters of this type.I hope this helped.

A little jewel!
This is a great little Bluetooth transmitter!! It has low latency, handles two Bluetooth devices at once, and has a handy volume boost control. Sound quality is superb. When powered via USB from my TV, it turns on with the TV, in the pairing mode! Pairing my headphones is a snap! Works every time within seconds. I highly recommend this product. All of this is true for me. It pairs with my headphones in seconds! Much easier to use than the built in Bluetooth on my LG TV!

Replaced unit works well
I purchased one and it arrived DOA. The replacement unit works. There is a big issue with the sticker that covers the display. It has a QR code to get clearer instructions for set up. I recommend using this code and remove the sticker before setting up.I saw one review where a guy thought the unit he received was not the same product. His photo showed the sticker still in place. While the sticker is a great idea, it is not transparent and you can't tell what's going on if it is still in place. A great idea that must be causing a lot of returns and support calls. The downside to this product is that it defaults to optical input. If there is no audio coming from the source, it will switch back to optical from the Aux input. When audio begins, it takes some time for the device to switch to Aux causing no audio at the start of a song or TV show. This is the reason for my 4 stars. If they only detected the presence of an Aux when you plug it in, then there would be no input switching going on causing the delay at the start of an audio signal. The other issue I have is that the latency is not low enough to keep the audio synced with the video while using with TV shows. The product states low-latency, but it's not low enough.

I Gave It Some Patience. And It Worked Great With My Bose Headphones
This unit will work with a set of Bose Bluetooth headphones. They work perfectly, in fact! I originally bought this unit very concerned that it would not work with my mother’s Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have Bluetooth on her television. The headphones worked great on a fire cube, but I decided to go back to cable. I wasn’t sure if this would also work with my TIVO box, but because the television is wall-mounted, I thought it would be easier, as it was obvious, I would have an easier time plugging up the wires. I noticed that my TIVO box has two USB out ports, so I plugged the included USB power cord right into one of these, and the unit powered up perfectly. I then plugged up the optical cable into the back of the TIVO box as well. Because I was using an HDMI cable for both picture and sound, I didn’t need to use the TIVO optical port, it was just not being used. It was a perfect opportunity to use the included optical cable, that came with the unit. I was so pleased because all this meant that now I did not have to go behind the TV at all.The first thing that I did was to hold down the power button on my mother’s Bose headphones, in order to clear all previous pairings. I wanted to make sure there were no conflicts, besides I was only going to use these headphones with this device. Now everything was going perfectly, except for the paring of the Bose headphones. Others have complained that Bose headphones will not pear at all with this device, however, patience is the key here. I too had some difficulty and was convinced that the Bose headphones would not properly pair with the device. I was only more patient because I was used to paring the Bose headphones with my mother’s Amazon Fire Cube. It used to give me trouble when attempting to pair the Cube and the Bose headphones together. Sometimes, I would have to try several times to get them to work together. I had to wait and wait for them to finally connect. Sometimes I started over and even restarted the Cube box again to make them both work together. However, my efforts always paid off, for once they pared, they worked wonderfully. This experience taught me to be patient, and to not be too impatient when trying to pare my Bose headphones to this Avantree unit. It took a long time, and I almost gave up, when suddenly my Bose headphones informed me that a connection had been made. I was so very pleased. Now I know I can use the unit on my television as well as my TIVO BOLT. Perfect, not only that, but I can also watch TV while my 93-year-old mother continues to listen to her headphones. Because the television is connected to the TIVO BOX with an HDMI cable, the sound is being sent to both the headphones through the optical cable, and the television speakers through the HDMI cable. So, if my mom wants to watch television alone, all she has to do is turn down the volume on her television and listen quietly on her BOSE headphones with the Avantree unit. If I come into the room and want to watch Television with her, all she has to do is turn up the regular volume on her Television, so I can listen too. This was so easy to install, I was very surprised at how easy it was to get it going, all I needed was a little patience. Our house is once again quiet, for this is a great little unit.In conclusion, this unit will work with Bose Bluetooth, just be patient. This will work with TIVO, but I only mentioned TIVO in case you also have a TIVO box as I do. This is an advantage, but you don’t need a TIVO box at all to make this work, I am sure it will work perfectly on your television at home.
