Quiet, Capable and Cute!
Henry is amazing. I didn't enjoy vacuuming in the slightest before I got him. I hate the sound of a loud vacuum. Henry is the opposite of that. Henry is quiet enough I can use him and have a conversation. Getting to the quality outside of sound level the standard nozzle is superb on hard floors. As long as you learn to tilt to suck up larger debris it works better than I would have believed. The side suction really pulls debris in well. The turbo brush nozzle is also fantastic. You need to adjust the level of suction on the nozzle per the carpet being vacuumed but when dialed in the vac glides across even plush carpet. Between both the turbo and the standard nozzle what makes using Henry so enjoyable is how well the vac just glides across the floor. I put forth so little effort pushing him along, but he picks up everything none the less. That's very satisfying to me compared to the upright vacuums I've been accustomed to. The last thing is the anthropomorphic quality of Henry. Though I know it's a gimmick it's a gimmick I personally love. Henry is like an enthusiastic child following me around just looking to help with my chores. His cute disposition also makes me take extra care not to let him get scratched or injured. As I said in the intro I have never enjoyed vacuuming but now I do it all the time. I'm always happy to pull out my little pal now whenever I have an excuse.

Excellent vacuum cleaner
Love the vacuum cleaner, well made, strong and quiet. Not impressed with the attachments. I would have expected a better design and build for this $500 package. The instructions spend more time on how to attach the smiley face than they do on explaining what the 3 floor brushes are for. Pipes just push together, don’t lock. Had the metal pipe fall apart first day and gouge my hardwood floor. Smooth stainless steel has no grip for a hand. Maybe the designer should spend a day with painful arthritis and see how easy it is to fight with an assembly of pipes and pieces that don’t stay together and slide and turn inside each other as you fight with them to simply clean the floor. My old vacuum cleaner had pieces that locked together. It had a handle to grasp made of rubber.Wish I had only purchased the vacuum itself. Excellent machine, would buy the again if needed. No way would I buy these attachments.

Made in UK quality - but whimsical and fun
NaceCare finally updated the listing for the Henry Xtra and it properly reflects the single stage motor and black turbo brush. The red turbo brush has not been made in some time, and the black one is (in my opinion) of much better quality. It is a Wessel-Werk TK 286 built in Germany and is their latest design for smaller vacuums. Rest assured, the updated single-stage Henry performs just as well, if not better, than the old two-speed design.I've had my Henry for almost three months now, and both me and my girlfriend love it. The Xtra comes with both the aforementioned turbo brush and a hard floor nozzle, along with some additional attachments. Half of our apartment is hard floor, the other half is carpet, and we've found that the Henry handles both surfaces MUCH better than any of the uprights we've had previously. It's also ridiculously quiet for a vacuum, and it doesn't send the dog running into the other room to escape the noise.Suction is far better than the (admittedly cheaper) uprights we've had in the past, and I feel like we need to do less passes over the same area to achieve the same cleaning. Henry comes included with four HepaFlo bags and a premotor filter, and it does seem to keep dust out of the air. We've found that the power cord is long enough to vacuum most of the apartment without constantly unplugging and plugging him back in.I was originally set on a Sebo Automatic, but decided to go with the Henry instead because of all the hard surfaces in our home. I figured if the canister-style vacuum didn't work for me, we could always send it back. I'm happy to report that after one use, we were hooked on the canister style and I don't see us ever going back to uprights. The Henry is a serious vacuum (as are all of Numatic's products), but I admit there's something a little lighthearted and whimsical about looking back and seeing the smiling Henry following you around as you clean. He's an extraordinarily popular vacuum in the UK, and it's easy to see why.

Hose broke off the canister within months of purchase
For the 5 months I owned this vacuum before the hose broke off the canister, I enjoyed this vacuum. I bought it refurbished, so this might be the problem? Otherwise it's a cheap piece of crap!

HENRY
Gotta love THIS GUY.... compact in size and lite weight compared to my other vacuum, an Electrolux. Bought it because my "LUXY", as I call the Electrolux, is just getting to heavy and awkward for me to drag around and up and down stairs. Henry happily follows me around on wheels.; with his smiling face watching you, you don't mind vacuuming. The only wish I have is that the directions were in writing, not just pictures. Other then that, go for it..Try a HENRY, you'll love it.

It is powerful but has issues. Please see my review.
Pretty awful manual that is outdated and doesn't name or describe the floor cleaning heads. The company seems to make changes and not bother to update the manuals. The machine does not have holders for all of the attachments so there are loose parts to store and likely displace. The storage profile with keeping the hose attached if very large. You may need a special place to store this critter. Lastly the hose is very stiff making it hard for me to handle. I hope that it relaxes in the future. All this being said, for the price, these issues should have been addressed.
