Game changing for shoulder pain
I've been struggling with carpal tunnel and near constant pain in my shoulder for a few months. I realized part of the problem was switching to an ergonomic keyboard that is tented; while this is good for the carpal tunnel it was making me hold my arm up the entire time I was typing to reach the inner, most-tented part of the keyboard leading to shoulder pain. This arm rest has helped a lot. I mounted it to my standing desk and adjusted both the desk and the arm rest angle to get the exact right height. The shoulder pain has gone down to like 10% and now I can just focus on the carpal tunnel, keep on using my nice ergonomic tented keyboard, and don't have severe shoulder pain anymore. Instead of holding my arm up, the arm rest is doing all that. It's easy to use and you don't have to think too hard about using it.The arm rest itself is well made. It's mostly metal with a few plastic parts. It's easy to mount, has smooth, loose swiveling so it moves with your hand naturally, and is not uncomfortable in any way. These days I'm trying to take more typing breaks but now and then I've forgotten and can do ~3 hours consecutively using the arm rest, where in the past I wouldn't be able to type after an hour. It really is a night and day kind of difference in comfort. Now I won't say this is some miracle product that will fix all your problems, but specifically for the issue of holding your arm up persistently over the keyboard it is ideal. I do think having the standing desk it important to fine tune the height as the arm rest has 5 angles which is good but the desk gives you all the in-between positions. For those if you going through a similar thing it was also helpful to get a trackball instead of a mouse for my non-dominant hand, and I got a keyboard with a bank of programmable keys so I could map keys I'd normally hit with my right (the arrows, page up/down, and home/end keys) using my left hand instead. It's all about minimizing how much you have to do with the hand that's injured.I bought a spare arm rest because this thing is so great and I'll probably be using it forever. Hopefully it will help you too.

Cured my shoulder pain!!
I am web developer and I moved to a standup desk because neck and upper back pain. That made a huge difference, but then my right shoulder started having pain. I suspected it was because I didn't have anything to rest my right elbow. This would be my arm that controls my mouse. This little add on to my stand up desk made all of the difference. My shoulder pain is gone. Awesomeness!

Great for resting your arm while painting or detailing models.
The only problem I have with the design is that the arm bracket isn't mounted higher and is some what flimsy.

So grateful for this
My family is counting on me to finish painting the Oathsworn boardgame miniatures, but I almost had to disappoint them until I saw this product and now I'm back in the game again! You see, when you have to hold up such heavy and dense monsters, you lock your shoulders in place for hours and then if you bike to work afterwards, you end up tearing shoulder tissues when going uphill. No one warns you about that. You have to find out the hard way. You can't even hold yourself up in the bedroom there's so much damage. So if you have really heavy miniatures to paint, don't make the same mistake I did if you don't have a car and bike to work regularly. Rest you forearm on this product and let the top of your shoulder go limp.

Sadly, didn't work for me
Once the clamp is affixed to the desk, the articulating arm can be raised but can't be lowered. I knew this when ordering but took a chance because the workmanship looked sturdy (and it is). Unfortunately, the arm/wrist support is too high for me. I even tried expanding the clamp screw as wide as it can go and inserting a book between the clamp screw and the underside of my desk to keep it affixed, which did result in lowering the entire unit (and the articulating arm) an inch or so, but the arm support is still too high for me even at its lowest setting, and adjusting the height of my desk or chair isn't an option. Also, the rather small arm/wrist support is hard, unpadded plastic. In short, this is a well made product, easy to install, and it might work for you. However, if you have long arms (especially from shoulder to elbow) or large arms, you should think twice before purchasing.

Love everything about these arm rests!
Purchased these so I could work at my new standing desk without putting stress on my shoulders and forearms and wow.I don't know how I survived without these in the past! When I'm working, they feel like extensions of my arm, not like they're adding weight or causing me to move unnaturally.Once I got the hang of how the rests rotate, it was easy to change positions to reach my mouse and keep typing if needed.Definitely would recommend this to anyone with a standing desk who is looking to relieve pressure and/or keep carpal tunnel pain at bay.

Fixed my shoulder!
I work at a desk 40+ hours a week. I was having trouble with my right shoulder (my mouse arm) and couldn’t even lift my arm higher than about 90 degrees. I was worried I would need surgery to fix it. I noticed I had the most discomfit after working a few hours, so I was looking for a product to help reduce that when I came across this arm rest. It was easy to install and I noticed an immediate reduction in the discomfort while working at the desk. After using the arm test for several months, my should has healed and I no longer have any issues with it, I can raise it straight up again! This arm rest has been a miracle and I can not recommend it highly enough. I got one for my husband as well and told all my coworkers about it, they all love it too. It’s a must have for anyone working at a desk more than a couple hours a week. Your shoulder will thank you.
