More assertive without being overly obnoxious
This horn was an easy upgrade for my 2015 Toyota Highlander. I used some conversion cables I found on Amazon and had it swapped out pretty quickly. The sound is way louder than the stock horn, but not over-the-top like those obnoxious train horns. It’s got a strong, clear tone that actually gets people’s attention without making me feel like I’m overdoing it.Since installing it, I’ve noticed way fewer people cutting me off. The OEM horn just didn’t cut it—people would still merge into my lane even after I hit it. I was starting to think I was invisible! With this one, they actually react and back off. If I needed another set for a different vehicle, I’d buy these again without thinking twice.

Great OEM replacement when they go out!
These are loud enough for sure. They don't have that deep, big car or truck sound, but more a that little car sort of tune, but maybe triple the volume. Does the job! Oh yeah, tricky to hook up if you're not well versed with wiring and stuff. I installed them on both my vehicles and both required a very different installation.

Louder than the original horn
These horns look good and sound great. Install was easy for me, I already had wire and connectors. I like that it comes with a relay but I used the existing wiring so didn’t need it.

its not like its a $100 horn or INSANELY loud
Its a pair of horns....they look interesting, the work, they are decidedly low cost. What is different about this horn is that it fires directly forward. Your car may have a trumpet horn that fires downward and thus you might hear and feel it a lot more inside of the cabin. It certainly doesn't feel like they are loud from your own perspective.

Hella good horns!
Loud and compact. Installed them in the faring of my dad’s Harley Streetglide and they’re absolutely perfect!

Loud as hell horns so easy to install!
NICE AND LOUD!Very easy to install. No relay needed. There is only 2 wires for the horn. Positve and negative. Just connect the old horn signal wire to one end of a new wire using a spade crimp connector and connect it to both horns on the same conectors of each horn using 2 more spade crimp connectors. Then make a second wire connection to both horns on the remaining spade tabs on the horns. the negative spades using 2 spade crim connectors and at the other end use a crimp terminal ring connector and find a bolt to ground it out on. *if your horn is a negative and then a positive you can just reverse the connections. But o found that there is no positive or negative marked on the horns. So you can hook them either way and they should work fine. They worked so well i got a 2nd set for my wifes Prius.

Make your bike sound like a car! Matches Öhlins suspension components.
I bought these for use on my KTM motorcycle. I have used the red version of these Hella horns on several other bikes in the past. To me the yellow horns have a tone that sounds a bit less artificial than those red ones. Maybe I would say more instrument-like, less alarm-like. They are not just louder than a standard bike horn. They use a tone which is a lower frequency, similar to the sound of the typical european car horn. Also because the diaphram of the horns is larger than the standard motorcyccle size, more sound pressure is generated, increasing the perception that the sound represents a larger vehicle. Each of the two horns here has a slightly different tone, Hella recomends the lower one if using just one but it's up to you.I won't get all into technical details but as far as installation goes:-super easy to just unscrew the old horn and replace with the new one. The bolt is larger than typical japanese horn bolts, so you may need to drill the hole out if you want to use the stock bracket.-these horns are phsically much larger overall diameter but about the same thickness as standard. You may need to be creative with the supplied, bemdable mounting tabs to find a spot with enough room.-you may need to separate and or lengthen your stock horn wires depending on the position and orientation of the original.-if you want to replace a single motorcycle horn with BOTH of these units: unless you know exactly what's what with your bike's electrical circuit, you shoul install the included relay to the horn wiring to avoid blown fuses.Overall-Works awesome, really loud and they definitely add presence to your bike in place of the stock tweeter. For cars-same recommendation, a good, loud upgrade.

Not Worth The Money.
I made a big mistake buying these horns. I'd been running two of Hella's Supertone Horns (the red ones), and was perfectly satisfied with them. But I wanted a change and a bit more color, so I bought the yellow Sharptone horns. Uh-oh.First time I hit the horn button, I was like, "Wha-a-a-a-t?!?!" Remember when you were a kid and maybe you bought one of those chromed dime store horns for your bicycle...you know, the ones with the red rubber bulb you'd squeeze to honk the horn? Like one of those horns circus clowns play with maybe? Well, THAT'S what these horns remind me of.These horns are louder than stock, sure, and very high-pitched, but in reality all they sound like is a slightly louder version of a stock beep-beep horn. They LOOK cute, okay? But I hated them. Luckily, I'd kept my Hella Supertones, so I reinstalled them and gave the Sharptones to a guy works at a custom shop. They weren't worth my trouble to repack them and return them for a refund. If you buy these horns with the expectation of getting the attention of other drivers, I predict you will be as disappointed with them as I was. Get the Supertones instead.
