Yamaha FS50BT Acoustic Guitar Strings

These are excellent acoustic strings ideal for 000 and 00 sized dreadnoughts.

Just wanted to write a quick review on these strings! I'm a huge fan of Yamaha Guitars in general, and recently bought a new FG800 in matte finish. Wonderful sound, as I believe is has a bit more open sound without the thick poly finish. Upon changing the strings to my go to, Elixir Nano PB lights, I noticed that the guitar lost a lot of what I liked about its initial sound. I searched the web and found that these are the original strings from Yamaha, and that they are coated as well. I bought a set and after installation, there's that wonderful sound again. I next swapped out the strings on my Guild DS240 sloped shoulder, and again a much improved sound! I know sound is subjective, so here's my take. These strings would be great for a player that is looking for a less high and brassy sound. These would be a combination of an Elixir and a Martin Retro string to my ears. More of an emphasis in the mids to lows, and less on the top end. The strings seem to last a long time and have a great feel to them. Will definitely be buying more.

Took the slow boat from Japan, so it was a while in getting to me. I still haven't tried them out, but it's nice to know I have them in hand and ready to go for when I need them at my next restringing party. I had purchased a Yamaha Silent Guitar, and this was what they had on them as OEM strings, apparently, They appear to be a quality item, and it will be interesting to see how they stack up with others I have used. They are, a bit more expensive then what I'm used to paying, but if they sound as good as the originals, I'll be happy.

Put these on my Yamaha Storia I and it sounds the best ever. I also had upgraded the saddle and nut to quality bone earlier.They stay in perfect tune after a day or two of minor adjustments.

I put them on my Yamaha acoustic as well as a Mitchell Electric acoustic, they are the best sounding strings I can’t say enough good things about them. I love them so much I bought extras.

Nice sounding strings, using it on a Yamaha silent guitar. The only draw back with these strings are, they’re too expensive!!!

I love a Yamaha Guitars. Own 3 of them. Elixir has always been my brand but I figured I'd give these a try even though they are 18 dollars. Started off promising but strings are/were dead after 2 weeks and I'm not even joking. In comparison, I had elixirs put on my other Yamaha acoustic in late May and they STILL dont need to be changed out and I pick that guitar up a couple times a week. I use finger ease for my strings every time I play. These strings are worth like 6 bucks for sure not 18. I'm actually going to take them off and send them so I can get my money back
