Deep Conditioning Microwavable Heat Cap for Steaming Hair Styling and Treatment, Haircare Therapy (Purple)

It's nice having this to make my expensive conditioners work better so I can use less. The only issue that I want to warn people about is that it can get too hot and burn your scalp so be careful about that. Hotter isn't better, just warm it up.

After trying to balance wheat socks on my head for heated deep moisturizing treatment, I was excited to try this cap. I love it! It is well made, soft, cute, and sewn in layers around the cap so the flaxseeds don't all fall to one section. It heats up very quickly in the microwave - 30 seconds is all I need for maximum heat. Now, it doesn't hold heat very long - I have to pop it back in the microwave every five minutes or so. But I love that it is all-natural and non-electric. I also love the many disposable plastic shower caps that come with it to protect the cloth exterior. Definitely recommend for making the most of your deep moisturizing treatments!

The cap is snug but not uncomfortable. The plastic hair caps are useful to not get oil on the actual cap. Also gets real warm so the oils really do the job and saturate my hair easy to use. Just pop it in the microwave and you’re ready.

I've used this heat cap to deep condition my wig and now my natural hair. It stays pretty warm long enough! I think for a 30 minutes deep condition, I might have to pop it back in the microwave again. But still, it does retain most of the heat! The cap itself is thick and filled with linseed which gets very warm. It's a comfortable fit. I like that it's microwaveable because I don't want a consistent amount of heat on my head or on my natural hair during deep conditioning. So I prefer this because it loses the heat over time. I also love that there's 9 shower caps to protect the heat cap from hair products. The little bag is very convenient! Once you're done, you can put everything back into one place!

Really holds the heat but how do you clean this? That’s the only reason I can’t give this a higher rating.

I warm it up 15 sec at a time for 1 min, shacking it in between since some people complained of burning. It fits pretty snug, but not too tight. I have a big head so I’m glad it fit. So on the outside it feels like it only stays warm for 10-15 mins, but when I take it off hours later my hair is still a little warm and let me tell you, my hair LOVES it!! Best purchase. Definitely makes a difference for me.

Lasted only 3 times before the seeds came out. I use this heat cap when I color my hair w/henna. So on my 4th time, the cap lining ripped and I had seeds everywhere. My last cap (different brand) lasted much longer than- just over a year.
