It made the neighbor go away!
Couldn't say if it's keeping the cats away but it did wonders to repel the neighbor and completely soured any hopes for neighborly peace. I tried to be accomodating to our cat's poor choice to deposit his poo in the neighbor's yard and offered up used coffee grounds at first. That idea was refused. So then did the research and offered this product said neighbor. It only seemed to make the neighbor hostile as he demanded that we place our 10 year old outdoor cat in to immediate house arrest and train the cat (who actually thinks its a dog) to use a litterbox. I suggested that controlling where a cat does its business outdoors is about the same as expecting their toddler to not throw a temper tantrum in the library.Maybe explaining to the armadillos that dig in said flower beds searching for tasty meal of grubs or to the racoons that wander through the neighborhood, without any decency to stay out of yards or garden beds, pilfering for whatever meals they can scrounge upwould warrant a greater success rate than explaining to our outdoor cat that it now has to live indoors or choose to poo in a litterbox. So, our experience with this product is that refusing to properly use it in garden beds has resulted in completely repelling the humans from our property and started an all out HOA and county animal control battle.Instead of testing this product out to reach a simple solution, they have now installed an expensive camera system directed at our property, and continue to fume and have created an absolute hostile neighborhood environment. If it doesn't repel animals, it may just repel humans and create a sh!tty atmosphere (pun intended).

It didn't work for this little smarty.
Did no good for my dog. I sprinkled in yard area to keep her off it. She just sniffed it and did her business. so I don't recommend it!

Half empty container
This is the first time using this Product. The bottle came half empty and not sealed, not sure if that's normal or not. So far has not been very effective.

Effective
Stray cats were hiding in bushes near the front door. On multiple occasions had to prevent a cat from entering the house. That concern and allergies is the reason I purchased this product. It worked. So far no more stray cats.

Work Temporarily
Seems to work temporarily on the cats or dogs who poop on our front yard. Unfortunately you still have to get rid of the poop first then sprinkle the product on it. Works for several weeks. If your lucky it works for months. With golfers it doesn't really work. You have to destroy the small mound they make and then sprinkle the product on where the small mound was as well as inside the hole that they make. The golfer simply packs up and move a few feet away and creates another mound.

Don't waste your money
Worthless. The cat parade continues. It did not deter them at all. I used almost the whole container. Applied 4 ft strip around a small area. Applied very heavily. 20 minutes later, cats are walking back and forth through it and sitting right on top of it. Don't waste your money

Ineffective at keeping neighborhood cats out of my raised garden beds.
It has not proven to be effective at keeping the neighbor’s cat out of my raised garden beds on its own. I am using this product, dried red pepper flakes, ground black pepper, ground chili powder, and strips of citrus peels to sprinkle on my 6 raised food garden beds to deter the cats. But, being in the Pacific Northwest with frequent rain, it has to be reapplied several times a week. Although I have found chunky coconut coir mulch and Beauty Bark (cedar bark) mulch to be effective, I don’t like the splinters they give me. I’ve even tried putting a million plastic forks with the handles buried & tines up but that only worked one season. The following year they used the forks to scratch their chins on. When I put my beds to rest over winter, I am thinking of covering the beds with chicken wire panels. I guess the chicken wire could help in keeping the chopped leaf mulch from blowing away, too.

It helped me a lot
It helped me a lot to keep the cats away from my yard and prevent them from pooping, since that was what bothered me the most. Recommended
