You need to highlight dark hair for results
I don't know what I expected, with having non highlighted hair. I have mid brown hair with some greys. It's a lovely conditioner with a beautiful smell, but did not colour my hair. Note to self: HIghlight my dark hair for best results.

I LOVE this toner!!
I’ve been trying to embrace my grey/white hair for a few months now but for some reason whenever I go to the hairdresser and tell them this I end up with a dirty blonde colour that makes it look worse. So after 3 weeks of deliberating I decided to just bleach my hair myself to a light as I could get it and tone it.I’m not an expert and my hair was still patchy in places following the bleach but it was mostly very pale yellow, so rather than kill my hair completely I decided to try this toner until it’s safe enough to bleach again.I wish I’d have just done this in the first place and saved myself hundreds of pounds at the hairdressers-I absolutely love it! One thing I will say is that it holds onto light hair very well and if you leave it longer than 20 minutes it goes a bit lilac (you can’t see this at the top of my head) but this will fade. The rest is a grey colour but the bits that didn’t lighten enough are a sort of dirtier grey.So it’s not perfect but it will do for now until it fades and I can bleach it again, but I will be using this as a toning colour. It smells amazing and is very thick with a conditioner like consistency. My hair felt soft following it and was way to style.I will say that unless your hair is a uniform pale blonde colour then this will not work on your hair-you definitely need to bleach it first. Will return in about 8-9 weeks to review again once I’ve bleached up another level 👍🏻EDIT: left it slightly longer than 8-9 weeks (try 12 months!) my hair is much lighter now but I still use this to maintain the silver hue. Not the best lighting in the second photo but there’s no yellowing and it allows my natural grey/white to grow through by blending it with the darker growth at the ends of my hair.I’ll probably keep using this now as it’s just amazing, I hope Amazon don’t stop doing this!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Dissapointing result
I used as per instructions onto bleach blonde hair. I left for 35 minutes as directed and only a slight change in hair colour. It has taken the yellow brassiness away but it doesn't look like the image on the box whatsoever.quite dissapointed in this product.

Good toner
Great if your hair is light enough. Need very light hair for this to take. Took for half my hair, I'd say get to level 9-10.i had some level 8 hair and it made it blondey-green. The rest was lovely light grey
