My dog loves it, maybe even too much
I decided to try this one after my dog managed to lick his flexible LickiMat to death, but sadly it didn’t quite survive its first use. Definitely seems like a really sturdy mat, and looks nice too, but it seems to be little trickier for him to lick whatever’s on it off. Although it keeps him busy for longer, he only needed a minute while unsupervised to decide that the best way to get at the stuff on it was to eat the LickiMat too. I hadn’t intended to leave him for long periods with a it as I knew he’d definitely chew it, but I didn’t expect him to have a crack at it when I left him for a moment. I don’t really want to rate it any less than 5 stars though, as he loves the LickiMats, and was always excited whenever I got his previous one out. Definitely makes for great (supervised) entertainment for him.If you want a toy that you can leave with treats in for a dog who’s a chewer, I would highly recommend trying a Kong. It’s the only thing that’s endured my dog’s power-chewing, and it’s also the only toy I feel comfortable leaving him with when stuffed with treats.

My dogs love their lickimats
I had another softer licki mat but found one of my dogs tended to pull the little orange rubber buds off it so I purchased this 'tuff' one. It is much sturdier, easier to wash & doesnt have the mini rubber buds so better all round. I have spread dog peanut butter or soft cheese or yoghurt & banana on it & also froze them for an hour & the mat has been great. My dogs really enjoy them & helps pass a bit of time whilst im working.

Tuff series is definitely tougher
This is the second tuff mat I’ve brought for my staffie, if left unattended he chews it up completely, but this is 10x better than the plain rubber one, as he wouldn’t even have to try and pull off the raised bits or destroy the base so reinforced with a plastic base means I won’t have to replace them as often, he is a super anxious dog and reactive to the front door but doesn’t think twice when he’s got a mat and looks forward to one every day, nobody is more interesting than this mat covered in peanut butter and treats! If they were to design another tuff series, I’d hope they’d make the raised part of the rubber from something a bit tougher because they tear easilyAnd also the + shaped rubber makes it difficult to clean all the nooks and crannies, even in the dish washerAll in all, completely worth it though!

Does what it's for.
Bear loves his, I use a toothbrush to get any left over bits out.

Not tuff enough
The dog seemed to enjoy licking the peanut butter and cheese flavoured paste and it kept her occupied for a little while. However she had no trouble chewing bits off the mat, so it got damaged during its first use. If you have a strong chewer, your dog will probably be able to chew it up pretty easily. In my opinion it doesn’t really live up to the “tuff” branding and if a company is going to call it’s product tuff then it should be tougher than this.Would suit my other dog who isn’t a chewer

Dog loves it
It's absolutely perfect for crate training. Slows down those little enticement feeds well without puppy ripping up blankets to get to an elusive bit of food.Giving a small amount of food to make certain areas an attractive place to be and slowing the gobbling it up process down works really well with kibble. Not really using pate etc yet as puppy's tummy is not something I want to experiment with just now until well housetrained. Can't see any reason why that also wouldn't work as a settler in crate use.No sign of chewing as it lies so flat puppy can't pick it up. Not seen any sign of wanting to gnaw the tray itself. It's all about getting that food. Definitely a good option vs a floor scatter as far less likely for food to ping into a corner that then is destroyed.Very easy to wash and it goes in your plate rack of your dishwasher very easily.

The best licki mat!
Sturdy and has lasted well. The tuff version is much better than the flimsy standard one. Goes in and out of dishwasher with no problems. Over the months, my dog has managed to pull off a few of the rubber bits while getting the food out but other than that it’s good as new. The soother mat is my favourite and seems to be easier for my dog to lick the food from. It also does what it says and helps to calm her system.

Not good enough
Not durable enough—my 3-month-old puppy managed to bite off and swallow pieces of plastic.
