Great knife, holds an edge, flexible and has a great handle.
I own two of these. I don't use the built in sharpener but this knife will hold an edge through 10 tuna. It isn't hard like carbon steel but it takes an edge well because of that. It is the perfect balance between to hard and too soft. The blade is flexible as it should be and will skin a salmon perfectly. Halibut, ling cod, rockfish are all slices and dices like the bass o matic! I have a couple of Dexters that I use when I need longer blades but any time I can use these, I grab them. You can't beat the price/value on these. I have repeatedly bought more expensive fillet knives only to let them sit in my cutting pack while I use these. I give them an A+.

Great cheap fillet knife
I take this knife whenever I go fishing to fillet the fish on the spot. It comes sharp, and you can keep it that way with the included sharpener. It has a good flex to it, so you can get the meat right off of the spine. If something happens to the one I have, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another for the price.

Worth the money!
A great knife. I skinned& filleted over 14 large channel cats in one day, and this knife never needed sharpening! The slim design makes it easy to grip. Comes with a belt clip for convenient carrying. A built in sharpener in the case. Tip protector....A great value for the price!

When Sharp counts.
Nice knife. It does hold its edge after use on five fish, which is one of the reasons I bought it. Very sharp, good handle design, light weight. I’ll have to get another one with a longer blade for larger fish. I would recommend this and I would purchase again.

After giving my old (but still in great shape)fishing knife
After giving my old (but still in great shape)fishing knife, I found this great Rapala knife in Amazon, for a great price and bought it.I'm very satisfied with it: it's good looking, flexible, good handle and, the sturdy sheath has a built-in ceramic sharpener.I recommend this item to anyone looking for a good fillet-ing knife at an affordable price.

rapala delux falcon fillet 6" w/sharpener
quite possibly the cheapest made china knife and sheath i've ever owned. Small hard plastic handle. Blade was sharp though. The hard plastic sheath is a joke. Push the knife in and it pops back out. I'd return it but for the $10 it cost i'll chalk it up to a lesson learned. Don't buy

4+ Stars…slight improvements would make 5 stars
Not that sharp out of the package but once I put an edge on it, it holds an edge reasonably well. (Side note: Highly recommend Ken Onion sharpener from Worksharp)Handle has a nice guard and the knife is easy to clean, but the handle can be a bit slippery when wet. I typically have disposable latex style gloves on so it’s not an issue. The sheath, on the other hand, needs improvement. It’s rigid, gas a serviceable sharpener and is easy to clean, but unless you ONLY ever have it in the vertical position and don’t bump it, it doesn’t lock the knife in well. I put my knife in a backpack with gear and used a long, plastic covered twist tie (from a long forgotten kid toy) to secure the handle to the sheath belt loop and it works great.Fir my needs, it works well enough, but the next one I buy will be the more expensive version with rubberized handle and metal guard. My brother has that one and it is more refined and holds an edge slightly better. If you’re just looking for a very cost effective filet knife, it works fine. Even better if you have a knife block and don’t need the sheath or have a vertical spot you can leave the sheath with the knife in it - like a fish cleaning station perhaps.
