Not a quality tool.
Terrible craftsmanship. Shipping foam left a sticky residue on the blade. Rivets are out of line and dented up, wood handle has damage from assembly. Gap at lower leading edge and handle (blade not seated in groove). This is not the quality I expected for the price.

Handle Snapped quickly, was excellent while it lasted.
I bought this for personal use, and don’t shear a ton of trees. This worked beautifully until about 50 or 60 trees in, when the handle snapped making it pretty useless, as other reviews have mentioned. I did purchase the longer handle, maybe the durability would be better with the shorter handle, but I’m not sure it would have been as effective while it lasted either.In short, if you’re looking for something that will hold up, look elsewhere.

Poorly designed handles
The handle on 3 of 6 knives purchased have cracked and made them unusable. The end of the tang is to short for the torque that is applied to the handle. The tang needs to be extended and the rivets should be further back.
