It’s absolutely beautiful ordered 2
This necklace has a little bit of weight to it, but I was able to swap out the chain to one that looks identical to the movie.(collage photo shows the comparison of the chain I switched it too, and the actual japor necklace in the film. Out of the box and with black background, shows more clarity on the swap chain that I put with the japor :) I had to put that together by hand).I just personally wanted more of a movie screen replica. That’s the only reason why I switched out the chain:)The original chain is very pretty, and can hold the necklace. (as you can see by the 2nd photo of when you receive it ). The certificate of authenticity is a very nice touch to this, and does not look cheap at all! The inside of the box showing the Naboo symbol is very adorable and shiny and puts it all together. It’s very comfortable an absolutely beautiful. I ordered 2 necklaces so I can wear one and have as a collectible. all in all this necklace is so worth it!!

You Underestimate My Power!
The piece itself is nice and admirable but the chain is cheap and fragile. The Japor piece is definitely worth the money though!!

Color peels off
I had this for a few months before the paint started to peel off and looked oxidized. Others than that it's beautiful, I'm going to get it gold plated at a jewler.

ADORABLE!
My 16 year old is a huge Star Wars fan. She is thrilled over this necklace! The medallion is big. But she loves it! The only downside is the medallion flips backwards and she has to keep flipping it over. Over all its terrific!

So this is a thing that exists now. Finally...
After twenty years of waiting, I think most fans of the Prequels had just come to assume there would never be a licensed or "official" version of this small but profoundly meaningful symbol of the love between Anakin and Padme. Disney has, until VERY recently, steadfastly refused to acknowledge that anything prior to the existence of the Skywalker twins and the Empire even occurred in the Star Wars universe. The powers-that-be have pretty much caved to what they view as the fandom's "universal" hate for Episodes I - III and therefore tried to avoid even the smallest reference to them in the sequel trilogy. "Sorry, what did you say? Anakin who-now? Chosen One-what? We know NOTHING about any midi-chlorians!" (I'm writing four months prior to "Rise of Skywalker", of course. Hopefully, Disney has figured out that many, many of us love the Prequel era dearly...we've just been shouted down or bludgeoned into silence by the much louder and more venomous haters for the last decade.)For that reason alone, despite my skepticism, I had to buy this. Here is an actual tangible admission, straight from Disney, that the Prequels exist! WOW...As for the necklace itself, I'm not sure how to sum up my thoughts. As a collector's piece, I think it's great. Lovely, even. I also think, having worn it on a few occasions, that this is exactly how I'll be treating it most of the time: as a collectible item to be worn only rarely.Although it's a surprisingly good weight, it is much smaller than what I'd pictured just looking at the images. (And while it's impossible to know for sure, I'm fairly certain it is considerably smaller than the actual pendant you see Natalie holding.) I could get over that - except the chain that it comes on is ridiculously small and thin. Seriously, it's got to be the width of a thick hair. The VERY first time I wore the necklace, the chain got a teeny, TINY knot in it that couldn't be undone by hand. I, therefore, had to spend the next forty, almost fifty minutes painstakingly picking the chain apart on my kitchen counter with a pair of toothpicks. NOT how I wanted to spend the evening, especially as my hand-eye coordination has always been atrocious at best. The most frustrating thing is that the hole in the pendant is so small that ONLY the chain it comes on will be feasible. You can't even think about switching it out for a different one you might have on hand, or even for a thin length of cord. (It would have to be VERY thin cord. And if you did, I suppose it would no longer be in "collectible" condition, assuming that's important to you.)This also means that if this chain that it comes on ever wears out or snaps, you're pretty much out the whole pendant. Once again, let me emphasize how incredibly thin the chain is. I will not be placing large sums of money on its longevity if you wear the necklace with any regularity. This is the main reason why mine went right back into its collector's box. And is likely to remain there. As a fan, I'm also rather irked by what an obnoxiously bright and shiny metallic gold color it is. Like looking into the twin suns of Tatooine. Gahh...WHY??? Anakin carved the snippet out of japor ivory wood. WOOD. Not anything resembling metal. Certainly not gold!I can MAYBE understand not wanting to make the necklace out of real wood so that it will hold up better...but in that case, why not make it LOOK LIKE wood? Wood-colored paint or dye at the absolute minimum? My only theory is that they wanted to make this first "official" version look fancier and more expensive. But in my opinion, this wholly ruins the spirit of the japor snippet. It's not supposed to look expensive or "collectible." It's supposed to be handmade, hand-carved, a little bit clumsy...exactly like a nine-year-old slave boy made it with the materials he had scavenged together over the years. Not like it's straight out of some high-end jewelry boutique on Coruscant. This feels almost too polished and sleek to do the japor snippet justice.I like it fine. I do. I'm not sorry that I have it, nor should you be if you decide to say yes. At under forty, it's not too much of an investment just to get it home and see what you think. But it could've been executed so much better in my opinion. I've got many other fan-made versions from various artists, and I honestly prefer them for casual wear for all of the above-listed reasons. (Including one that I made for myself with a great deal of patience and love.)If you really want the bright and shiny "collectible" in the clamshell box, with the official card and the seal and the whole nine yards, my verdict is just to go ahead and buy this. If your tender heart weeps and bleeds for the Prequels like mine, go ahead and buy this. Just to have it, if nothing else. But if you're simply looking for *a* japor snippet necklace to have as a keepsake or wear to a movie opening, I can tell you there are better options out there made with genuine feeling and devotion. You just have to look for them.

Thunderous Applause!!
The packaging is SO CUTE!! Necklace is absolutely stunning, has some weight to it, but overall very pretty. The chain looks really dainty, but we shall see how long it lasts.
