Much, much better than paper filters
I bought this to use in my Chemex. I was tired of the paper filter collapsing into the spout area that is designed to allow for air flow. This action would slow down the movement of water through the coffee and just generally irritate me.Switching over to this filter, I did have to adjust my grind slightly to a little bit finer grind. Once I got that dialed in, things worked perfectly. The coffee flavor was indeed, richer due to the oils getting through to the cup. It is brewing consistently for me time after time.I am very much a "snob" when it comes to my morning brew, and I like what I like. This filter gives me what I like much more consistently than the paper filter. I don't have to pre-rinse it like you do with paper.Others talk about it clogging. I have not experienced that at all. I do clean it after every use though. They include a little brush for this very purpose. One drop of Dawn dishwashing soap and I scrub lightly inside and out. Takes maybe half a minute tops. I have seen zero clogging. There is a very, very fine sediment that ends up in your cup. I don't particularly care for sediment (so the french press stays in the cupboard), but this is so fine that it does not bother me at all.Overall, I do believe that my coffee tastes better with this filter, and my morning routine is a little bit easier because of it.

Perfect Chemex accessory for tea
This filter is very nice and seems to be of high quality materials. There is an inner fine mesh filter and a coarser outer filter. The fine mesh is what I was most concerned about as I drink a lot of tea. Most reusable filters boast a fine mesh but don't actually have it. The mesh on this particular filter is extremely fine and should do very níce with the finer ground teas.It comes with a removable orange and a brown rubber gasket. It fits perfectly in my Chemex carafe and most importantly, does not touch the walls of the upper carafe. I felt that the Chemex filters didn't allow for the water to drain through the grounds well enough, especially when the were not allowing air to pass around the filter. Also, when I make Thai tea, the paper filters seem to grab so much of the tea's goodness. Thankfully, all that tea will be in the pot and not the trash from now on.

3rd try success after a fail and a near miss
This wonderful filter fits perfectly in the Bodum 34 oz maker. The mesh is fine, but still easy to clean. Looks like great build quality. Last filter I owned lasted a little over 2 years with daily use and the seam welds began to fail, hoping this filter lasts at least the same. In the meantime, I am considering purchasing another as I have learned not all filters are created equal, ie have a fine mesh and fit the maker.Update 6/20/2020: After a year of use and twice a week top rack dishwasher cleaning, this filter has held up nicely. I notice no sign of wear, coffee still flows through nicely and without any detectable stale taste or smell. VERY satisfied.

Don’t put the coffee grounds down your disposal!
It isn’t my favorite thing but it does work well, the coffee tastes fine and it isn’t that hard to clean! My plumber told me not to put the grains down the disposal! (He says that about everything! He advises me during every visit to remove it and make a compost pile)

Great at first!
I enjoy this coffee filter but after two months of everyday use the metal has begun to separate and unravel. It fits great in my Hario pour over. Not sure if I will purchase again but it worked great until it started to unravel

Simplicity ...nice looking ,smooth finish easy to clean
Bought for my sons pour over . He likes it very much .The filter is smooth and easy to clean . The coffee results are good.I would not use the brush . It isn't needed .cleans easily , just rinse and use your hand or soft cloth ,rinse under faucet .this is a great filter for those that use stainless filters for their coffee .But Not the Chemex paper filter that I still prefer , one would have to adjust the grindChemex has used the tried and true paper for yearsIt so far for me cannot be replaced..

Great flavor, needs a good scrub before use
This filter makes a really flavorful pot of coffee because of all the oils that don't make it through a paper filter. However, there is definitely a metallic taste that I am hoping will subside after several uses, otherwise I will return this product. It does sit flush with the top of my 8-cup Chemex, making removal slightly awkward as others have mentioned, but I don't find this a significant problem.Day 3 update: a good scrub in the dishwasher took care of the metallic taste, I stupidly brewed several pots before doing this. Changing my rating to 5 stars.

Makes coffee taste metallic
This adds an unwanted metallic flavor to your coffee. You get excited for your tasty cup of coffee and this filter, although reusable, makes it taste bad. Bummer.
