Home/Personal Compact Digital Blood Pressure Monitor & Cuff, Stores 60 Readings Each for 2 People, uses 4 AAA's, by VIVE
This is an extremely compact and easy to use digital home BP monitor. I've had several OMRON brand monitors in the past, and the operation of this VIVE monitor is very similar. If you've never used a BP monitor before, relax, these are really very easy to operate. The instructions (included) are very easy to follow, even for those who are just using a BP monitor for the first time. The LCD display has large numerals and is very easy to read. Controls are simple and clearly marked. The unit case is white plastic, easy to see and locate in a darkened bedroom.Workmanship and build quality seems fine. Everything connects easily and works as it should. The unit uses 4 AAA batteries, and these are easy to change. Battery life is good, you won't need to change them very often.A nice feature of this VIVE unit is that it has memory and can record and store up to 60 previous readings for comparison and tracking a trend. The playback function is easy to use.Better yet, this unit can store 2 separate histories, each with up to 60 stored readings, so two people can share the same unit and still keep their histories separate. As the Amazon photo shows, the BP cuff has easy to follow illustrated directions printed directly on the cuff. The maker has included every feature I can imagine to make this simple, self-explanatory and easy to use. This is an easy unit to use on yourself, by yourself and unassisted.Sample sent for testing and impartial review. This is a very good home BP kit, and small enough to be very easily portable for travel.I'm impressed at how much these units have improved since the first home BP units were introduced many years ago.If you have BP concerns, I believe this unit from VIVE is a good choice.VIVE also offers a number of home-health products, you can see them all by clicking their Seller name at the top of this listing.I have several VIVE products, and they have all been good quality.I hope this review is helpful as you comparison shop personal BP kits online. Lots of models, sellers and choices out there to choose from!Stay active and stay healthy, everybody.

Affordable and accurate with a flexible cuff
1. Compared to my doctor’s office this measures right on, so it’s quite accurate. That said, if you want accurate results, you have to educate yourself on how it works and how to position it by READING THE MANUAL. My doctor was more surprised that I put it on correctly than the accuracy.2. This unit has a “flexible” cuff more like you see in medical settings. I previously had a unit with one of those stiff cuffs, which I always had issues getting positioned and tightened correctly. My upper arm must be on the short side because it covered the whole thing and was almost impossible to get on correctly. Basically my blood pressure would be higher due to my rage at trying to use the thing. This cuff isn’t as tall and I can always get it positioned and fitted correctly.3. This unit is half the size of my old one. I had no trouble throwing it in my suitcase for a business trip while I was supposed to be monitoring daily. Wouldn’t have taken the old one.4. Even at a discount big box store, blood pressure monitors are expensive. And they generally only have the stiff cuff kind. This was half the price for a far superior product.5. I looked at the fancy new varieties that connect to your phone via Bluetooth to record my results. None had stellar reviews and they were much more expensive. I decided that I could take the extra minute to log it into a tracking app manually and that’s working out well.

Excellent home BP cuff
Never thought I'd need to monitor my BP, but here we are. I purchased this based on a friend's rec and am very happy with it. Ease of use right out of the box is great. Read the instructions on how to set the time/date so you can best track your readings from the get-go. I've found this to be very accurate as I work with my doc to get my BP sorted. It's great because I take it to my visits and can click through my BP reading history and they really appreciate that. Only feature I would suggest - to be able to delete certain readings without deleting 'all', in case I feel a reading isn't quite right or I repeat it to make sure. Would also be nice to have a QR code and wifi connectivity to help with tracking, likely a feature to be found in a unit at a higher price point, but something to consider when looking for a device. Overall happy with this product quality, features and accuracy.

Overall Great, Criticisms Minor
Great product, great price. I purchased this as a second meter since I need to log measurements because of an illness but commute and didn't want to carry one all the time if I didn't have to. I like it more than my other one which is already a good item. It is pretty quiet compared to other types I have used (bp meters will inherently be noisy but this one doesn't startle in my experience yet). It has a function to switch between two different users to keep separate memories instead of all results together, which is brilliant and not even a feature on many more expensive alternatives. It alerts of abnormal heart beat which is helpful as well if it is something you deal with (or even to let you know it's a new concern if you've not had it before, I suppose). I bought the case for it also. Only two cirticisms -- 1) it does not show low blood pressure as a bad thing like it does high. The condition I have that needs to be monitored involves a lot of hypotension, and it's kind of odd to see severely low readings in the "green" range! and 2) it cannot be used while in the case, the monitor part needs to be lifted out, though most monitors do not allow for that anyway i think this one has a good design for accommodating that, so maybe with future cases! Neither criticism warrants docking a star in my opinion. Awesome service too, thanks.
