Westminster Desktop Drum Set, Random Color

The media could not be loaded. It's a toy. But it's a pretty cool toy. I expected it to sound like hitting a plastic lid on a butter tub or something. It's better than that -- they sound like actual drums -- as much as they can, given the size and materials. More bassy than I expected, for sure. As you can see on the video I'm posting, a real drummer can make some cool sounds with it. Though others have complained it's a flimsy set, it's reasonably fine for its cost. I've knocked it over a few times and it has come apart, but nothing has broken, and I just reassemble it.(Just to clarify, I am not the one playing the drums in this video. It's one of my friends.)

It’s not very sturdy and we had to glue it together but my daughter is 7 and likes to do concerts for us 😂 she’s always moving around and I knew these would work perfect for her ! And they do.

I bought two of these for gifts. They were fun for a while and we liked playing around with them after gift giving - lots of laughing and actually one of my favourite recent Christmas memories! They're fun for occasional, light use on a desk - but the bases are actually so cheap that I had to hot glue it just to stand up straight without breaking.I know I shouldn't expect so much of a novelty gift, especially considering the price, and it actually would be just fine sitting on a desk... I wouldn't really considering gifting it to a kid or teenager and expecting it to last more than a week of casual play use. An adult who will keep it on a desk to occasionally mess with like any other desk toy would probably take care of it just fine, even considering how flimsy it is.The sound was better than I expected and caused a lot of "wow!" reactions from the three drummers in the family.If the stand was just sturdier, I'd be so much happier with it - but even considering the quality of the stand, we all liked it well enough.

This kit is quite large at 16" high x 15" total width.This was bought for our daughter and the drums look good but are let down by the poor stand and plastic clips that hold it together. (But then, what do I expect for the cost of about 3 half-fat-decaf-happy-frappa-cappa-cuppa-macca-chinos from the cawfee shoppe?)It makes an interesting sound but one of the toms broke within 10 minutes due to some enthusiastic, but not overly unrealistic, drumming.Overall an interesting gimmick that really annoys the dog.

I purchased this item on November 16th, 2014 and returned it soon after because of the quality of the product.As a drum enthusiast, I purchased this item so that I could have a tiny, cheap drum set to mess around with while bored at home. I did not expect much from this set… but what I got was below any expectations.POSITIVES:• Low price? $10 still seemed like too much for what I got.NEGATIVES:• THIS IS A TOY that is in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT.• No real drumming sound comes out of this• Everything is made of cheap plastic, including the symbol• The drum is extremely poorly constructed, and falls apart easily.• YET AGAIN… THIS DRUM DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A DRUM. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU’RE HITTING PLASTIC WITH PLASTIC. YOU MIGHT AS WELL GET A PIECE OF TUPPAWARE AND BANG ON IT WITH A PLASTIC SPOON… SAME EFFECT BUT NOW YOU’RE $10 RICHER.OVERALL:• DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FOR ANY REASON UNLESS IT’S A GIFT FOR A SMALL CHILD

Very cute, nicely made, larger than a desktop toy, produces a very nice Tom-Tom sound in different tones and a respectable almost cymbal crash. Arrives packed nicely in a suitcase-like box. Great value.Easy to put together, but needs a little care. (Plastic clip attachments for drums might be easily bent so be careful, may want to glue legs and post together to make it sturdier - tips: assemble base & post tightly first, then attach to drums; do not clip cymbal to drum to avoid constant cymbal-ringing.)I enjoyed playing it before giving it as a gift!

this is best if it will sit on an adult's desk an no one plays it. It's way too flimsy and definitely not for kids since they'll break it in 2 seconds. It doesn't hold up well. cheaply made ...but as a gag gift or display then its fine. (It's also very small. We bought if for our 1 year old at the time)

We ordered this as a christmas gift and got to see the reaction when it was opened. It's a great size... Not too small (you'd have to have a fairly large desk to put this on), but not too large either (it will fit on a desk).The sound quality was higher than I expected, but I don't know if it's as good as some of the other reviewers.I still give this 5-stars because you can't expect professional quality sound out of a desk set.The assembly was quick and easy. Everything locks in place so that when it's together, it doesn't feel like it will fall apart.The person who received it put it on their dresser and still plays it every morning just for fun.
