Great cleaner and polisher for heavily oxidized piece
As a deep cleaner and polisher for a large 50 year old brass handle, it worked absolutely great. This handle not only had 50 years of dirt and oxidation, but also had paint, stain, and varnish all over it bc the previous owner didn’t bother to remove the piece from the door whenever they did anything to the door. This handle has easy to remove screws too, so there was no excuse. It is very ornate too with a lot of crevices so it was everywhere. Worked like a charm, easy to use, worked relatively quickly. Use a toothbrush for best results as ornate pieces won’t be helped by a cloth unless it’s flat. The varnish was the most difficult thing to remove, in some spots I had to let it sit for 10 minutes in a second application, but it all came off! BTW, if you just have a bit of dirt and oxidation, this may be overkill as it is strong (it has ammonia in it) but for tough jobs like the one I had, it’s great. (A polish alone without ammonia would be better for much easier jobs and for maintenance.)

Works well
I tried DIY cleaning for a brass table top that has been on a covered porch for at least 20 years. Did a fair job, but there were still stains. This was the help I needed. A 1/2 bottle and a bit of elbow grease and it looks fantastic. Would definitely recommend and buy again.

Helps me pretend I found it like that
As a committed thrifter (read: borderline hoarder), I use Brasso more than I probably should. It’s my go-to for making rusty, crusty treasures look “intentionally vintage” instead of “dragged out of a swamp.”A little polish, a soft cloth, and suddenly I’m a restoration expert who definitely didn’t pay $3 at a garage sale. Smells like chemical warfare, but it works.Just don’t use it on anything plated unless you like surprises.

Love the product but the spray is far better!
I love these Brasso products but discovered the spray version and I like to use that more only because I use it on my cabinet pulls and other gold plumbing in my home. It's not so powdery and white chalky looking. It's hard to get the chalky-ness off, whereas the spray is easily removed. I am not a spray Brasso fan.

Removes black tarnish from costume jewelry
Easy to use. I thought nothing could save my disgusting tarnished costume jewelry. This was my hail Mary and she delivered. I covered my counter w/ plastic wrap and applied using a toothbrush, wiped off excess and rinsed while brushing. It turns green when the tarnish reverse oxidizes. Use gloves and a mask. It has ammonia in it. Best on alloys with brass or copper. Turned my black necklaces into a rosegold color.

Excellent product
It removed what looked like acid stains on our dishwasher stainless inside walls and door. Nothing else would work.. Brasso did an amazing job with very little effort.. Nice and shiny with a Windex cleanup.. Very happy with this product.. Careful of the fumes because they are very strong. Use plenty of ventilation.

Does the job.
Yes NOXON is gone for good. But Brasso IS the next best cleaner and polish. (remember to shake the bottle now and then for best results) And it doesn't need a lot of elbow grease to get it done.

Low quality.
Not as good as the original.
