Mega Bloks Spongebob Burgermobile Showdown Building Set

Bought this as a Christmas for one of the boys I take care of and he absolutely loved it! Mega Bloks are similiar to Legos and are great for kids of all ages and who doesn't love Sponge Bob! With Amazon Prime I got free two day shipping the price was much cheaper than the retail stores.

When I first saw this, I thought it was so cute. My four year old son just LOVES SpongeBob and he loves playing with Legos. I thought, "Oh, Mega Blocks are just Lego's ugly second cousin, who cares? He will have fun!" And the box makes the set look like a lot of fun. Well, I ordered this on Amazon and I read lots of reviews. There were some negative ones, but I discounted them as hardcore Lego fanatics...you know the type who order Legos and build what is on the box in ten minutes, then display them all over the house and keep a log of all the sets they have and keep the boxes, etc, etc.Well, my son opened this on Christmas Day and immediately wanted to build it. Holy geeze! There are over 200 teeny tiny parts! I took one look at the directions, and told my husband to put the thing together. After an hour and a half, he got it all put together, but he grumbled and complained the whole time. All the pieces are in separate bags, none of which are in any order to help you build it, and it turned out kind of unsteady. He was pretty annoyed. Well, no sooner than he had it together, Mr. Krabs' arms started fall off, then the mast, then the pole holding up the sail, and some other pieces on top. I ended up super gluing a bunch of things in to place, and still, a week later, pieces are falling off so all day I hear my son whining, "Mamaaaaa, can you put this back together?" ALL. DAMN. DAY. Listen, folks - even if you waste your precious time putting it together, you will further waste your time reassembling parts of it. Repeatedly. Even after super gluing things. It is one more thing to take care of. Got a pet? Got another kid? You busy caring for them? I'll bet you are. Got time to mess with a teeny-tiny Burger Beard pirate ship? Want one more thing to occupy your time and energy? Want to listen to your kid whine all day? Take heed, fellow shoppers. I gave this thing three stars because my son actually likes it. He will sit and play with it with other Lego sets, but it is a headache and a pain for any adult in the house. I actually hid it in my closet fifteen minutes ago - and that's when I decided to write this review. Get it for your kid if you want, but just understand, you'll be fiddling with it ALL THE TIME. NOT FUN.

My son loves spongebob and when I saw this he wanted it so I saw the price I ordered it for him. He had it built in know time. The only problem he had was with the flag pole. He got two with his set thank u mega blocks because he broke one trying to get one of the pieces on it. But besides that inconvenience it's a great buy and any child that loves these kinds of toys would love it

My son loved the Sponge out of Water movie so I knew that he would enjoy making this Burgermobile. Unfortunately, due to how the pieces were packaged, it proved difficult for him to put together. Unlike Legos where there appears to be some logic behind how the legos are packaged, this did not appear to be the case for the mega bloks. It was quite frustrating to put together for me let alone by son. Even with this issue, once the burger mobile was together it was a very attractive pirate ship and was very sturdy. My son had fun playing with it. In the end, I liked the finished product but getting there was a pain in the butt.

My 7 year old son loves spongebob and was so excited to get this new set!

I bought this set as a gift for a 5 year-old. His 7 year-old brother constructed it for him as it was too complicated for the recipient to do. It is a well-made set with fun features. The boys love playing with it.

Too many little pieces.

This has been an amazing toy. I got this for my son as a reward for completing his chores, etc, and he was able to put it together pretty quickly. The instructions are super easy to follow and are provided in step by step by picture form so any kid can follow. My son is 10, so he is able to read the instructions, but if a kid younger needed to, they could easily follow along the picture. The burger-mobile also easily transitions into a food-truck, making it a really cool 2-in-1 toy to play with. The toy also comes with two mini figures ~ Mr. Crabs and Spongebob, completing this toy and making it fun all around!
