Saved my cat pain and suffering
My cat got old and wouldn't eat any other kind of dry food. The purina pro senior food was so so and much better than others but ultimately he hated that one too. Switched to this and bam zero issue with this or the sensitive stomach one. He seems to love all of the iams dry food but he doesn't like the iams wet food. The wet food of choice is the purina senior pate chicken or tuna. He eats it all up every time. So originally my cat started getting skinny to the point that I considered it animal cruelty on my own part without even realizing it. But I always kept his bowl full an gave him wet food but he wasn't eating any of it. The dry food was the blue buffalo and the wet I kept trying all different types and nothing was working until the purina senior canned food. I didn't get a chance to weigh how thin he got but I'd say he was maybe down to 9 pounds possibly in the 8's but he is naturally a bigger cat so he was about 4 pounds underweight. I need to weigh him but from all my previous weights of him in the past I'd say he's maybe 14 pounds right now. Hes gotten quite heavy which is where he should be really. Trying to also make sure he's exercising so it isn't junk weight and really it just seems like he's gained healthy weight not just fat. So I'd have to give this food a million out of a million or a trillion out of a trillion because it really saved my cat from being in pain and suffering. He is much stronger now even at over 14 years old I saw him hop over my 7 foot high wall/fence with not really much of anything to grip onto. It always amazed me he could do that even when he was over 18 pounds but when he was down to 8 to 9 he couldn't. He never seemed like the most physically capable cat because hes so non aggressive. In reality hes a very strong cat and phycically could win but just isnt an alpha until he has to be hes a cute cat that just loves to be loved and doesnt have a mean bone in his body. Had another cat that would beat him up and had to get rid of it even tho it was a good cat and wouldnt ever hurt people but he didn't want anyone interfering he wanted his undevided attention and all of the love not half so he would fight the other and aggressively block him from coming near other people. But he would his jaws on his throat a lot and scared the crap out of me. He was a good cat on his own but wanted all the attention to himself I think it was because he was the first cat even though not by much. Children have the same type of jealousy between brothers and sisters with abandonment type issues.

Good and reliable! Check size if your cat has trouble chewing
*picture is of piece size if your cat has trouble chewing big pieces like my boy*My cats definitely like this brand and this food. Hard to find good senior food in stores. It's a decent value and reliable! Some cats may have a hard time chewing since they are medium sized pieces of food rather than small.

Worth the buy!
First day and my cats ate the whole bowl so quick. I bought it for my senior cat but my fat boy is getting older so I sprinkled some in his bowl and he picked the pieces right out! Safe to say kitty approved👍🏼

My picky senior girl loves this
My kitty is 15. She has been eating this for about 4 years now and still eats it just fine. She's very picky with her wet food, and she tries to bury our other 2 cats' food, but she continues happily chomping down this food. Her coat is healthy, she has been doing great on it. She was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and vet said that I don't need to change her diet, so Iams must be doing something right. I do wish the morsels were less dense as they are a bit difficult for an aging cat to chew. But that's just my opinion based off of observations of my girl.

The best senior cat food by far
I was struggling to find my 15 year old Sadie food that she wouldn’t throw up or enjoyed. I came across this and decided to try it and she loves it. No more issues and highly digestible and she is as spunky and energetic as ever. She just turned 16 and she acts like she is 5. Her coat his shiny and she is happy.

Cats loved it
Just tried this for the first time today and both of my senior cats ate it right away! We have a 22 year old and a 14 year old, and they seemed to really like these kibbles as soon as it was served to them. Their main diet is canned food due to the fact that they don’t have strong thirst drives and we need to make sure they are hydrated. But they get tired of the same food sometimes so we change it up with kibbles. This one was a hit!

Great value
Great value, cheaper than at my local stores, and kitty loves it. Will buy again.

18 year old tabby/maine mix still going strong
I have an 18 year old mix (tabby and mainecoon), and have been giving him IAMS healthy senior for the past 8 years. While he's definitely slowed down the past several years, he's still healthy (nice shiny coat!) and still likes to jump up on his cat tree when it's times for treats. He has a bowl I keep full of the Healthy Senior, and he gets a can of wet food in the morning for breakfast. He still eats a LOT (he's a decent sized cat even now), but healthy senior has kept him around his normal healthy weight, although he is lighter now than he has been most of his life. But, that said, he still RUNS to his food area when it's time to refill his IAMS bowl or get his wet food, darn near tripping me every time, or when it's time for treats, and still cuddles up against me at night while I sleep, with the requisite 10-15 minutes of attention he requires before I'm allowed to turn off for the night. Not too shabby for a cat that's as old as my twin nephews that are in college now! While I know genetics and exposure to things like cat diseases affect the longevity of a cat's life, and I can't say with any certainty that Healthy Senior is the main reason he is still around after 18 years, I feel it definitely helps him out tremendously!
