Pump Motor Cover For Pentair Intelliflo Pump - Variable Speed Pool Pump Motor/Drive Cover - Outdoor

I ordered this product to protect my new $1,400 Pentair Intelliflo VS- VF pump from the torture of the SW Florida weather.I actually received the product 2days earlier than projected. I was very surprised at the sturdy materials that this cover is made of. It appears to be some sort of composite material very heavy with a bright white finish. Be aware that you might have to cut a channel for the pumps electrical conduit. This is easy to do if you measure correctly, I used a hack saw took about 10 minutes. Put over the pump fit perfectly. Cover fits flush on the concrete pad and butts up against the outlet plumbing that holds it in place. Be aware also when installing the cover that you spread the side a little to go over the 485 cable connection on the pump. There appears that there is plenty of ventilation for the pump. I have checked it several times and do not notice any overheating issues, I guess time will tell. As others have said you can screw it into the pad if you want but that seems to be stupid if you needed to remove for pump service. Overall I’m impressed with this cover so far. I do think the product is a bit over priced, but like everything else, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this product. Please see attached pictures of my install.

I also purchased this cover to protect the substantial investment that I made in a Pentair Intelliflo swimming pool pump. The cover is well made of what appears to be PVC and fits nicely over the motor and control unit of the pump. No cutting or alteration is necessary. I did not attach the cover to my concrete base pad because the cover must be removed for access to the electronic controls. The cover does seem to be heavy enough that I believe it will stay in place unattached even in high winds.As stated above, the cover is made of what appears to be a very white PVC material. Because my pump system is somewhat visible I took time to paint the cover with a high grade exterior latex paint to make it less apparent. Now it blends in with the surroundings and is more appealing to the eye.I am very pleased with the cover and feel that it will do a nice job of protecting my investment from the elements.

I love the flexible but sturdy plastic used. Fits well and would be perfect if there was actual room for it to sit flush. Electrical and filter housing in the way but since it’s out of the way I’ll call it a success.

This is a no brainer...buy it to protect your pool pump. I thought about building my own but, for the time and effort, it's not worth it. This is made for the job and fits and works perfectly. It may seem a bit pricey but, it is purpose built and, once again, 100% worth it. I highly recommend it!

Small enough to squeeze into a tight space, but large enough to protect my motor from the elements. Simple to remove to access the pump.

Within a few months of normal use (about 7 hours a day) the small plastic tab which makes the impeller to turn Wore out rendering this pomp useless

Pump arrived on time in good condition...well packaged. Installed about a month ago and it's working great. Delivers plenty of pressure to run 6 rotary sprinklers in one zone and 12 pop ups in another zone.
