Good ideas for exploring color
I purchased this for the color theory and exercises, although I use fiber rather than watercolor paints. It provides nice exercises.

Great Price
This was a great find and its basically new. I love how I can work in it along with the lessons! I am so happy I bought it and I came across on another artist channel. Everyone should get this book refresh or to do exercises that will level up your art!

A Field Guide To Color - A More Technical Guide With Exercises
I'm a kind of go with the flow kind of gal and this book challenged me to think about color in different ways. This book is loaded with information if you are looking to learn and use color theory in your paintings. It is loaded with exercises to get you to look at and experience color in different ways. Not totally my cup of tea but a well written book.

Wow!
This is the book I was searching for! I love the visuals and interactive approach. The paper quality is excellent, the writing is clear, and the activities are super fun.I’d love to see a version 2 that explores color mixing with warm and cool colors. It's a fantastic resource for anyone interested in color theory and watercolor!

an invitation to play and learn and have fun
At first I thought the book, while being absolutely gorgeous (thick white pages on luscious stock, great printing, full of color and information) was a little too basic for me. I am very familiar with basic color theory and the patterns and tutorials are pretty standard. But then I realized the book was a wonderful kickstarter for me- I've been in a creative slump for a little bit and unsure of which project to work on next (too many ideas, no focus, no real plan to execute them), and working through this book is a wonderful hands-on way to get my watercolor habit back. The exercises in the book are designed so that even though you're learning basic color theory, you can add some variation to them- there's no list of SPECIFIC colors and materials listed, so you can just pull out what you've got or what you like to use or want to use more of and have fun and see what happens. I kinda love that about this book, because lately color and watercolor has become a little too "precise" and "exact" for my tastes- there's this obsession suddenly with pigments and brands, etc. and I was always taught that watercolor is *supposed* to be a little unconventional, a little loose by design, because it's so unpredictable in and of itself. This book brings that element of surprise and "fun, mad science" back to watercolor, and it's just what I needed.

A must for any color lover and artist F
This book is a must in any type of art you may be interested in. Yes it’s a watercolor work book but color theory knowledge is a must in almost every type of media there is!! This book is fun and there are so many great projects that explain how colors work together. You can paint the projects in the book, which I love, or paint them on watercolor paper of your choice. The author is a master of colors!! Her stories about how she’s always been drawn to color and now it’s her career??? I couldn’t imagine how happy I’d be if working with color was something I got paid to do. If your reading reviews you must be interested in buying this book. I 100% recommend it thoroughly.

Delightful!
This book is so fun! I love painting right in the book. And I'm learning lots! When I finish an exercise and it's dry, I set the book under several other heavy books so it continues to lie flat. I'm having a great time with this! Highly recommend.
