Chevy GM 4L60E 4L65E 4L70E Transmission Alto Deluxe Level 2 Rebuild Kit 2004-On

This is an all inclusive kit well thought out with quality parts when I need to build another 4L60 e I will order from these folks

This kit is very complete but for the money I wish the would give you the correct thinner top plate for the 7 clutch 3-4 stackOther than that it's a good kit.Also would be nice if they gave the recommended clutch pack spec for the 7 clutch stack. Factory spec is not obtainable or recommend.

This has got to be one of the best well put together overhaul kits I’ve purchased in years quality parts and even included some updated parts for the shifting issues known with the 4 l60E

This came with o rings that were poor quality, I sent a message to the seller and was told to pack it full of Vaseline, I had a transmission shop rebuilt it to only have the forward sprag break the first time I put in gear. I would stay away from this kit and go with OE stuff.

So far I am 2k miles into my 4l60e now (4l65e) with this kit and a few other parts I decided to purchase. It comes with 7 friction clutches for the 3-4 pack, you will need to buy a couple thinner STEELS for 3-4 pack to get in GM clearance specs if you want to run the 7, if you want 6 like it was before you will need a couple thicker STEELS most likey. The TransGo valve body shift kit that comes with this is NOT the hd2 kit, it is a correction/prevention shift kit. If you have performance mods to your engine or plan to- I would go with the hd2 kit. Other than that this kit was flawless. I will update this review specifically on longevity on the transmission. Any questions feel free to ask. I rebuilt the transmission in my garage. This kit does NOT come with solenoids, clean your original ones with brake cleaner you will be good, make sure the brake clean is dried off (blow on it for a couple seconds) before you install solenoids.EDIT! As of 1/26/23 the transmission is doing FLAWLESS, I couldn’t be more happy and impressed with this kit and the directions supplied with it. I can’t lie I was figuring 5k out of the trans and she’s done. NOPE.. going on 25k and doesn’t skip a beat, firm and very quick 1-2 firm and quick 2-3 and firm and very quick 3-4. I also did the trucool 40k cooler and AN lines when I did the trans, and it runs 170° on a hot day towing 3k lbs on a trailer.ONE THING I PLEASE ASK YOU TO DO IF YOU REBUILD YOUR TRANSMISSION YOURSELF (specifically 4l60e/4l65e/4l70e) IS DO THE FIRST FLUID AND FILER CHANGE AFTER 500 MILES BUT BEFORE 3k MILES!!!! (Only change the fluid that comes out of the pan, do not flush the lines and transmission). ^this is key and is a must^EDIT!! As of 03/25/24 45k miles into rebuild and the transmission is still doing flawless!!Although my 205k mile 4.8 spun a rod bearing so trans will sit for a couple months.Hope this has helped anyone!
