Amazing power!
Very pleased with the power! Our garden is 30X10.The only downside... this attachment will give you a back and arm workout like no other!!! You will be burning the day of and sore the next day. I am 40 years old and in great shape. I only recommend this if you have the strength to use it. Not for the faint of heart.

Makita makes nice tools
Was alittle worried about it be strong enough but it works pretty good. Not a rotor tiller!!!Works great for flower beds and gardens already tilled. Not really designed to break new ground.

Fit and functioned well but...
Will work you to death.

Exceeded expectations
Five stars, would recommend.First of all, this doesn’t love working it’s way through establish grass, but it will certainly do it if you are patient. The benefit of letting this tiller work its way through grass is it makes really small chunks which is then easier for the tiller to deal with once it gets down to your soil.We did an experiment with two different flowerbeds that we installed new. And the first bed we broke up the grass the shovels first and then used the tiller, and the second bed we patiently let the tiller do its work from the start. It’s hard to say which is more efficient time wise, but if you don’t want to be disposing of clods of grass that the tiller can’t break up, skip the shovel and try letting the tiller do his work. The tiller cannot really deal with very matted clover roots. That you’ll need to break up with another tool before working with the tiller.Folks have complained about chipping teeth on rocks. I have a fair bit of rocks and stones in the ground here, but my soil is loamy and not hard compacted. The rocks range from pebbles up to head-sized rocks. I found that if I just let the weight of the tiller do the work, and do not push down on it all, the tiller will bounce up when it hits some thing, which lets me investigate what’s going on in the ground, and remove the obstacle.Established weeds might get wrapped around the tiller axle. He just have to turn it off and remove him.Overall my partner and I are pretty impressed. This definitely saves me time. My partner, who has a large tiller attachment for his tractor, and has rented gas powered tillers, was pretty impressed. He did not think this would be effective. He really likes how narrow the head is, it does allow you to get between some of your plants and allow for pretty precise work. With a little practice, we can work it was pretty good control . The tiller does throw dirt (as any would), but if you think ahead of how you stand, and you can use that to your advantage. My one complaint is that I wish the plastic guard was a light metal so that would be more durable. We have not broken the guard yet, but unless I break a blade, I think that’s gonna be the first thing I destroy on this thing. I would not want to run it without the guard. It depends on what your intended uses are as to whether or not this tool is big enough, but I certainly recommend this tiller attachment. If you have rocks in your yard larger than fist size, take it easy with it. Don’t bear down on the machine, let it work and plan on doing many passes if it’s a new area you are working. If the tiller bounces up suddenly while it’s working, stop and poke around with your shovel to see what it hit and remove it.

Updated review
Just a revision to my review.. After I used it a bit more I started getting the hang of it. This thing really chews the ground out!It helps if the ground is a little moist, and once you get it past the top you can pull it towards you and it rips the ground out with ease.I love it :D____I only used it for a few moments, but it really likes to hop and is difficult to use. However, proof was in the pudding, that dirt got ground up real good.Hopefully I can adapt to it cuz Id like to get alot done lol

Quality tool
Great little cultivator head. I use it with the 18V power head and it’s great for 10 minute jobs in a small bed, but I’m sure it’s much more productive with the 36V driver.
