Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Camp Dutch Oven, 4.1 qt, including Lid Lifter, Lid Stand and Silicone Handle Holders

Cast iron has gone through the roof and I searched a long time for a Dutch oven that wouldn’t cost me a small fortune - without sacrificing quality. This fit both requirements!

Upon arrival, it was very rough and coarse. I took some sandpaper and scrubbed it down special and gave it a good seasoning in the oven. I’ve been using this pot for camping for almost 3 years now. It fits in my camper oven perfectly for storage and is big enough to cook a nice pot of soup for my family. It’s been a workhorse, and I have no complaints.

The quality is good. The size and weight make it more suitable for normal kitchen usage compared to my other bigger ones. And it can be nested in my 12" 8 quart deep lodge oven :)Recommended!

This is my 8th Dutch oven and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality (3 of which are for campfire use-the rest are porcelain coated and I used them in the kitchen). Great design with the coiled handle and lip on one side to aid in pouring. Looks well made and the finish is as good as my Lodge and Petromax camping ovens. I had planned to buy a Lodge but Lodge does not make one this size with the cooktop lid and no legs, This oven fills that niche well. I have not cooked with it yet but I did season it following directions in the manual and it seasoned perfectly using canola oil. The manual for the oven is well written and has excellent advice. If I fault anything it's that the manual is tiny and I had to use a magnifying glass to read it. Can't wait to cook with this, especially while camping and I will revisit this review if I discover that it does not work as well in the woods as I hope it will. A nice touch adding the lid lifter and the silicone handle holders.

I use this Dutch oven all the time when camping. It cooks very well. Doesn’t get food stuck on it very easily and it’s easy to use. ring able to use the lid as a griddle is really nice. The picture shows that it comes with the metal stand but mine did not. I had to purchase that separately. But overall this is an awesome Dutch oven.

Bought this for making sour dough but have used it for so much more.Size is perfect.

I know there are many that think if it’s not glass smooth it’s not good. I own a number of of cast iron cookware and grew up with them. If you follow the directions in the instruction sheet provided you will have a great piece of cookware that will be fun to cook with. Only one of the six pieces I have are smooth. Without the texture to anchor the polymerization you can get it flaking off in your food. The smooth one is used the least. Never have a problem with food sticking in the textured pans. For the price of this Dutch oven you can’t go wrong. Give cast iron a try and you’ll find it’s a new adventure in cooking.

Love my pot. I originally bought if to cook in my fireplace but with the mild winter and early spring , I've only used it on. my stove. But it seems like it will bw perfect especially with the accessories
