Works great for transferring text onto aluminum.
I bought these transfer papers in order to transfer labels i made in photoshop onto the aluminum front and back panels of a stereo amplifier chassis i built from scratch. You just gotta flip the image horizontally in photoshop before printing and it printed perfectly. I had read some laser printers have issues printing on this paper but my Dell 2350d had zero problems. The printed labels for volume, treble, bass, base x-over, and mid-volume transferred over onto the aluminum as well. I placed the paper on the piece of metal, then a piece of old cotton t-shirt onto that, then another piece of aluminum to sandwich it all together. After clamping the two pieces, used a heat gun to blow hot air on the back of the aluminum plate which heated up quickly. Ill upload a photo in a bit when i get a chance.

Here's how I am using this. Near perfect transfers.
I am using a brother HL-2350-DL with the density turned all the way up. My first tries had lots of toner not picked up by the paper until I wiped the wax surface with a paper napkin dampened with acetone and then wiped with a dry one. Now the toner almost hangs on too much when ironing on the board. I use just over 150 C on a temperature controlled Monokote iron and cool the back of the paper with pressure from a metal ruler at room temp, but the paper is still warm when I get a good peal. Almost perfect results as long as the board is scuffed with 400 grit and cleaned with acetone and a dry q-tip wiping the board comes off clean and dry.Your mileage may vary, but it sure beats magazine paper and soaking by a mile.I am able to reuse each sheet by cleaning with acetone until the wax has worn out.

Semi-successful transfers, paper has issues though
First off, paper has a natural curl to the long edges which makes it prone to being easily damaged. After printing onto paper, it curls over even heavier which makes multiple prints a risky if not impossible option. Transferring design to copper sheets has been somewhat frustrating but have been successful 2 out of 3 times so far (brand new to this). Once in the electro-etching solution, the toner resist came off midway through my desired etch time. It did have nice crisp lines and going to try different transfer methods as mentioned in other reviews. Biggest pitfall with the paper is not being able to send the same sheet through the printer multiple times; the use issues I am chalking up to my experience level at the moment.

High quality transfers
High quality transfer paper that prints well and transfers well. Will hold fine line detail for more intricate designs. The paper is a little thinner than I like to use, but still a good product. Will buy again.

I was expecting more
That paper is very thin and curls easily. Even when taped onto the back of a sheet of plain paper, it still wants to curl. Amazon shipped it curled up into a roll which made things worse. One vertical edge was wrinkled so I had to cut off an inch or more. The transfer is not that good. I used an HP-400 LaserJet with a genuine hp toner cartridge. After going through z20 sheets of the transfer paper I used the backing paper of vinyl sign material and it did a much better look job. I would not recommend this paper. For me it was a waste of time and money.

Works a charm for transfering DETAILED designs as resist on metal (knives) for electroetching! MAGIC
Works a charm for transfering DETAILED designs as resist on metal (knives) for electroetching! LIKE MAGIC! The secret is "baking" in a heat-press (any T-shirt press will work) for an extended period (I have had great success at 400-degrees-F for 8-minutes (using a cheap HP laser printer & authentic HP toner ... which "melts" at a very high temperature ... around 390-degrees ... so running it thru a laminator WILL NOT WORK ... because, the heat is too low and transitory to melt the toner and make it stick; and the second part of the "secret" is letting the knife/metal you're transfering to COMPLETELY COOL before peeling off the transfer paper; this is where patience pays & most people fail by peeling too quickly!

This Stuff Works!
I have tried toner transfer in the past, with not much luck. I finally discovered that fine sanding of the board followed by soap and water untill squeaky clean was the key. Toner will stick like glue to a very clean board. After cleaning, do not touch it.I tried glossy magazine paper, but some of the ink on the paper came off onto the board. Then I tried this stuff. Absolutely flawless transfer!

Thin, but works great. See description for tips on printer feeding
Worked great for ink transfer to a cigarette lighter i acid etched. The paper is thin, so I taped it to printer paper to ensure proper feeding. Used a great fun to heat the lighter and applied the paper, pressing down with a cloth. Used warm water to dissolve paper and it peeled off with no problems.
