HQST 100 Watt Polycrystalline 12V Solar Panel with Compact Design,High Efficiency Module
UPDATE: First purchase was 11/22/24: Today is 01/06/25:I've been using two of these panels for about 4-6 weeks. Normally, they keep my Acemo topped off, but the last two days were cloudy, and I discovered this morning that I had a bad wire connecting to the panels. It is currently 4:30PM and the sun is well over the other side of the apartment leaving the panels in the shade pointed away from the sun. You can see the reflection of the sun in the clouds. If I backed up, the sun would be just below the clouds on the right.Even in the shade, the two panels are charging the Acemo at 25 watts, now that I replaced the wires. I often get 30-35 watts in the shade, but I'm not getting much reflection today.During the morning when the sun is shining on the panels, I get up to 135-140 watts. When I mount them on the roof below them, they will get more light while the sun is overhead, and during the summer, they will get a whole lot more sun, for several more hours a day.The online calculator for this area says the best I can hope for is 60-65% of the panel's ratings, so 50% is the most I had hoped for and I'm over that mark.I currently only power a few things on the Acemo to keep it exercised. It's primary purpose is to provide power when the grid goes down. With 4 panels, I hope to remove my computer station and lights entirely from the grid. I have them, I may as well use them.My original plan was to hinge two of these panels together for a portable array, but they are really too heavy to port around easily, so I'm going to leave them mounted to the low roof and power my apartment as much as they can.I've seen complaints that someone received different panels when he ordered at different times. I ordered one single, later one pair, and most recently, one more single. I can't tell the difference between any of the panels. so I have not had that issue. The input to my Acemo is just shy of allowing me to use two panels in series. That's ashamed, because I would love to pair them up instead of running all of them parallel. The bathroom scale says that each panel weighs 14.4 pounds.Original Review:I now have 3 of these panels. The first one is in the window and the two new ones are #1 and #2 in the first picture. I was getting 83 watts of charging into my power station compared to 30 watts from 50w panel #3 and 70w from 100w panel #4. They weigh 14.2 pounds by my scale, but the other panels did not reach the minimum measurable weight on my personal scale. The two yard sticks are in the pictures for anyone wanting to compare sizes. For this time of year, 83w is about the most one would expect to get at this latitude this time of year. It probably helps a bit that the temperature outside was only 32 degrees when I got that reading. The wall you see the panel laying against is facing east. In the afternoon to evening, it is in the shade. During mid-afternoon, it was still charging at 25-30%. Of course, when the power station hit 100%, it quit charging.I read some of the negative reviews and they complain about low power and a weak frame. It's hard to know why someone had low power. There are a lot of factors to consider. As for the weak frame, these panels do seem heavy for such a thin aluminum frame. Panels 3 and 4 have the same frame material thickness as this one does. This one seems much heavier.Right now, I am satisfied with my purchase and I am especially happy with the price.

100% satisfied. Good output. Quality panel. Newly installed, so lifespan yet to be determined.
5/3/2025 - Just installed and everything test good. Great power output. I can't give specifics because I'm running this one in parallel with a Grape Solar 100W panel that is 4 years old and I got combined output from the two at least 150W before clouds arrived. I mounted these onto my roof with Unistrut rails and these hold-down clamps (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQL39VTV). Very impressed so far.If mounting on a camper/van, I would not mount directly through the thin aluminum frame holes. Use more robust solar panel clamps like above and ensure those clamps are near the front of the panel to reduce potential for wind to lift the front and break the panel. For normal use, the frame is certainly strong enough.

It works great!
I had the wrong connector but I was able to splice in the one I need. I was very impressed by the power out put, it changed my battery back rapidly.Since I bought it I started to notice that the city I live in uses the same panels for their cameras, electronic speed signs. I fully expect to buy more in the next year because the price was so good at $50, if the price goes up, I don't think I'll buy more.

Good quality panel and installed nicely on our camper as a second solar panel source. Packaging was very good and no issues.

Great panels but missing parts
Ordered two of these panels. Both work great, however, one of them seems like it was a return and is potentially slightly used and is missing a cover for the connection box. Overall great panels for the price.

Works, but Engineering and Quality Control needs to be improved.
The panels were nicely protected in the cardboard box with packing material at each corner of each panel. Output of panels and the controller work as described. The mounting hardware was correct and sufficient to hold the panel. I had to add a washer on the bolt side as the mounting holes on the panel are oversized to the bolt head and the bolt head could tear through without the additional washer. One panel was missing the cover over the diodes. likely this will cause the panel to have a premature death.
