A very realistic review of a pretty amazing product!
I decided to try a different size of ear bud "trees" (the thing that sticks in your ear and seals out the water) and after switching from the large to medium, I was able to swim nonstop for 50 minutes without having to adjust at all! It really was amazing how they worked so well - even without a swim cap. Great sound! Works perfectly! Easily merits a 5 -star review!Original review >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The good news:+ The Ipod and the buds really are waterproof! No problems at all after 7 sessions so far.+ Once you get the right fit, the sound is clear, the seal is tight and you can actually listen to music while swimming!+ It's especially awesome for kick drills when your head is mostly above water.+ The earbuds are rugged and sturdy and more waterproof that I expected. Even after I accidentally completely submerged the earbuds (not in my ears) they worked just fine.+ Overall, this is a pretty amazing! The not-so-good:- I usually spend the first 10 minutes of each swim session experimenting with the earbud fit, placing and replacing the bud in my ear until I get the right seal.- It's only occasionally that I completely forget about the earbuds and get into the "zone" and just swim. Almost the whole time, I am conscious of the buds, wondering if they will slip out, hearing the sound muffle because the buds shifted. I can usually swim for about 2 songs before a bud loosens and I have to stop for a minute and re-position it or maybe dry it off on a towel.- The iPod controls are very stiff from the waterproofing so you have to push fairly hard when you adjust the volume or switch songs.- There were very few instructions in the box; I watched a youtube video to learn how to place the earbuds properly (pull your ear up, put the bud in at a 45 degree angle).Despite the negatives, I still give this 4 stars, because it is pretty darn amazing to be able to listen to music at all while I swim! It's like a dream come true! Plus, it would be impossible to find a product that fits everyone's ears perfectly, but this comes pretty close and I find that when I breathe through my mouth, my jaw makes my ears move a little so it is natural that the bud would shift; can't fault the product for that. I really think this is the best product you are going to find for music while you swim. I am going to try and swim with a swim cap... I suspect that will keep everything more stable so I can hopefully completely get in the zone and just enjoy the music while swimming. Despite the caveats listed above, this product works well! Its exciting to finally be able to listen to music while I swim!

They sound great,
I love my Swimbuds and have used them for years. I swimm 3 times a week and that's a lot of messing around with the ear buds and getting them fit right with the goggles. I've never faulted them for only lasting a year or two. But they are expensive to replace just the head set. So I've also used other ones. Syryn's are by far the best but I've noticed that even those have lost a little bit of base quality in the newer ones and that really bugs me.Last set I bought, I purchased a 3 year extra coverage!!! Assurion paid for my new set. So this time I picked the newest Syryn Premium Sport Headphones. They were the most expensive yet at $60 so I expected a lot. Well I'm happy to say they sound great. They actually sound as good as my original ones I got with my old Syryn MP3 6 years ago. They also included 12 different buds for any kind of ear, except for Feringi (Star Trek)!I'm very happy with these and I just hope that they last longer with the higher price. Syryn remains my all time favorite underwater music source. I'm a senior citizen and consider this very a easy to understand piece of tech.

Not Bad
I'm in my 50's and took up swimming about a year ago, which I now love. I swim freestyle about 2600 m 3-4 times per week at a moderate pace. I do other activities on the days on I don't swim. I'm using a waterproof iPod shuffle clipped to my goggles. These headphones are on the expensive side for what they actually do, but must say they sound the best of the ones I've tried. I've had them for about three weeks. I'm still struggling a little to get the right fit in each ear. Some days I get a better seal than others. Sometimes in the beginning of my swim I slightly pause to adjust because water gets in and I lose sound in one or both buds. Sometimes I'm good for most of my swim and have to adjust one or both. I think there is only so much that can be done with aqua audio, so the sound isn't going to be awesome, just good. These headphones sound good when the fit is right, which can be unpredictable. The company supplies a lot of attachments so I recommend experimenting with ones that will fit your ear. This is going to be an individual thing. I listen to mostly rock from Led Zep, The Who, Iggy Pop, Bowie, Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Oasis, 80's, The Pixies, Nirvana, The Cars, The Darkness and the Ramones to name just a few on tons of music I have. So my reference point is from that mix of sounds. I'll also throw in some easy listening from my era now and then. I'm in the water about an hour give or take. So far I've not had an adjust free swim with these buds. Having said all this, I can't say other waterproof headphones are any better. They all have the same issues, but not the same quality of sound. These are significantly better so you get what you pay for here.
