The Radpole is a multipurpose gear mount for kayak, canoe and boat, ready to host a camera, video equipment and its own navigation light. In addition to the accessories provided with this kit, the Radpole is compatible with device cradles and fishing accessories available from RAM Mounts — the leading manufacturer of cradles for use in challenging environments. This kit is a complete package including a 25" tall (64 cm) Radpole mount with a marine-grade aluminum base and mounting hardware, and an array of accessories. Radpole Expedition Kits are also available in 31" and 16" models. This package includes a RAM Mounts camera adaptor and a video camera adaptor. Each adaptor includes an EPDM/SBR rubber pad on its stud to protect equipment from abrasion. This package includes a Tektite Mark III bright white LED light, capable of pivoting for use as a stern light, anchor light and deck light. The Mark III runs on 3 AA batteries (included) for 200 hours of continuous service, waterproof and submersible to 1000 feet (300 m). Atop the Radpole, the Mark III meets USCG, SOLAS and USA inland regulation for kayak and canoe, providing 360° visibility over a 2-mile range. The Radpole is constructed of aluminum with brass fittings and stainless steel mounting hardware. A steel drill bit is provided with installation instructions to ensure a snug fit of the Radpole’s four mounting bolts, washers and locknuts. The aluminum coupler on top of the Radpole is ready to accept any accessory sporting a RAM Mounts 1-inch "B" ball, compatible with GPS, fishfinder, waterproof Aqua Box® and a variety of device cradles from RAM Mounting Systems. The base of the Radpole is ready to accept any accessory accepting a RAM Mounts 1.5-inch "C" ball, compatible with RAM Mounts’ fishing rod holders, rod tubes, VHF radio antenna mounts and more. Very happy!
I just bought this camera mount for my Kodak waterproof camera. First of all the material used for the rods / mount is VERY NICE!!! Made out of super heavy duty materials ! nothing cheap about it! has 2 different pieces to fit multiple cameras/camcorders... i have already mounted it ( i used wood screws on my kayak instead of the ones that came with the set) looks good on the yak and works great ... would highly recommend!
