U.S. History For Dummies®

I finally understand about the Native American genocide, American Civil War, different presidents, and the different political parties and systems. I only knew a little US history before, i.e. Civil Rights movement, but it was fascinating to see how the country came to be how it is today. It goes right up to 2008 and Barack Obama being elected, covering the war on terror, but it doesnt quite get to the current financial crisis. Recommended read!

Excellent intro, would recommend to anyone that needs a simple introduction and basic intro. Serves the purpose, easy to read, and nicely structured.

This book is easy to read. Living in engaland i know very little about us history. This book has been very informative and helped me piece together information i did know. Would highly recommend this for people who have very little knowledge on us history.

Amusing and for a history book interestingly addictive. Definitely worth purchasing if you want a factual but hilarious book. Like
