Pack of 2 filters - CoffeeSock filters are durable and may last a year or more. CoffeeSock filters are a reusable alternative to paper filters and nylon sacks. All of our filters out-perform any comparable disposable and reusable filters. Cotton absorbs some of the oils released from coffee beans yet lets acids pass through. The resulting cup is clear crisp, rich and robust with all the acid of paper brewed coffee, without the paper taste, and all of the richness of French press without the heavy oiliness. CoffeeSock filters are made with Certified Organic Cotton. Cotton imparts no flavor on the finished brew unlike paper. Cotton is 90% cellulose, which is a tasteless and odorless compound that is insoluable in water. Wood is 40-50% while Hemp is approximately 45% cellulose. CS filters are made in Austin, Texas. All filters are sewn and packaged by happy human beings making a fair and living wage.

Works great, highly recommend
Love this sock for making cold brew at home. Just grind the beans, put them in the sock, bloom (wet) them, close the sock, and pop it in a pitcher of filtered water overnight. The next morning, just pull out the sock. No more paper filters and multiple strainings to get rid of all the grounds. I've found a 4:1 ratio works best for making cold brew concentrate the way I like it: strong. I know some people make hot coffee out of the concentrate as well as iced, but I have yet to try it hot. I prefer my coffee iced, especially during the summer months. Cold brew is not acidic, unlike regularly-brewed coffee, because the beans are never exposed to heat. The slow, cold extraction method also allows the true flavor nuances of beans from different regions to shine through as well. This sock makes the whole process so much easier. Definitely recommend!

Just buy it
This works like a charm. I'm extremely lazy especially when it comes to making coffee. I just want hold out my hands and it be done. This requires a bit more effort than that but honestly not much. I measured out 4oz of coffee, placed the coffee sock inside the jar flipping the top around the rim of the jar, poured in coffee grounds, folded it closed and placed it in my half gallon mason jar. That's it. 24hours later, I had delicious cold brew. The best part is this doesn't let any fine sludge coffee grounds seep through. Noone wants a mouth full of griity coffee. The last sip is as smooth as the first. Highly recommend. Rinses and dries easily too

Easy to use, travels well, recommended
This is my second one. I used the first one continuously for 5 months (each batch lasting approx 5 days) while on a work trip. It worked very well. I didn't have any running water or a place to clean it between uses, so I had to improvise. After pouring the fresh concentrate into an empty water bottle, I turned the coffee sock inside out and dunked in my small pitcher a few times. That seemed to remove 95% of the grounds. Then I wrung it out and hung it to dry from a carabiner using the sock's (extremely useful) metal ring. Every few batches, I'd refill the pitcher with fresh water and soak the sock in there overnight to get it (somewhat) cleaner. Now that I'm home again I've chosen to replace it for my next trip, but I'm sure it would have continued to work for the indefinite future. Cold brew came out smooth. I'd have no problem using this at home either, but I usually make larger batches with a toddy I've had a for years. Can't beat it for long trips, though - I just roll it up and tuck it in a screw-top plastic pitcher and it travels easily.

Far Exceeds Expectations - No Sludge!
These filters are the fantastic! I am so excited I found these as I use a cold-brew coffee pot for iced coffee in the summer and those long narrow screen-type permanent filters always left a sludge at the bottom of the carafe as well as my cup and these filters are the perfect solution! These filters leave no sludge and no coffee grounds whatsoever! Yes, my filters are coffee stained, but that doesn't detract from them at all! I use the basket ones for my regular coffee pot and no longer need to buy paper filters, which means less waste as well!

Sustainable, easy to use
Love this product. I fell in love with brewing cold brew a few summers back when Aldi had cold brew pouches for pitchers. Those didn’t come back so I moved to Dunkin’ Donuts pouches. Those tore when I tried taking them out of the narrow hole in the pitcher, leaving me a big mess. Plus, the plastic packaging was not my favorite to put into the landfill every two weeks.I had been eyeing this product for a while and finally got it. I was worried about finding coarse ground beans but found Cameron’s brand had a presaged coarse ground for cold brew specifically! It’s a vanilla hazelnut flavor, I think. Poured some into the filter and followed the directions. Came out BEAUTIFUL and SO SMOOTH. No bitter flavor whatsoever. The aftermath of cleaning wet grounds of this weird shaped filter kinda isn’t the best part of my day, but the coffee taste is worth it. I’m saving so much money not going to Starbucks and I’m feeling good about my environmental impact because of using this instead.

I brew my coffee explicitly in a sock.
The CoffeeSock, well.....ROCKS. I have been looking for something simple and lightweight to use to brew iced coffee for years, off and on. I don't know if I just wasn't looking hard enough or not in the right places, but finding this little beauty is a great relief. I actually was able to mail the creator of this product and get an answer in less than a day about which one I should choose. While I wouldn't recommend everyone bother him/them (they are busy making socks, I'm sure), it was extremely helpful to get the right one first. I brewed my first container of it the day I got the item. Smooth and delicious and so SIMPLE! Just follow the directions that come with it since you need to prep the sock for brewing before using the first time. Like I said, it's easy and I love how portable it is, unlike the rigid metal inserts or other contraptions. Spreading the word that this sock really does do what it promised!

No fines/sludge at all!
I was having so many issues with fines getting into my cold brew with the metal strainer/filters. I know I did not want to spend the money on a whole new system, such as another name brand cold brew system. I did some research and stumbled upon a "CoffeeSock" being mentioned. With a quick google, I stumbled here. All I have to say is, I'm ready to buy another so I can have two cold brews going at once. This is a must buy if you're going to do cold brews.

no grounds or sludge!
I tried another cold brew system with a metal filter before this and couldn't get rid of the need for an extra round of filtration, but this is perfect. It's very easy to use and I have no grounds and/or fine sludge in my brew at all. Cleaning wasn't too difficult--turn inside out and rinse off grounds and oils. I'm hoping this holds up to long term use; it feels durable. Fits in the 64 oz mason jar perfectly. I am still perfecting my measurements and brew time but I was able to get one batch of concentrate and one batch of regular coffee out of one sock full.

Excellent cup of Joe!
Finally an easy way to make my cold brew!! The clean up is quick. I am impressed with the smooth cafe quality taste of my coffee using this CoffeeSock. I wish I had purchased sooner. Careful to not overfill the sock though as the water will not penetrate properly resulting in a weak brew.

Makes cold brew easy
So much easier than trying to put grinds in cloth and tie it up. The sock is easy to fill and easy to retrieve. I'm going to buy one to replace the filter papers in my drip machine too

As described
This coffee sock worked just as described. I used prepackaged coffee, which is regular grind, and it still worked great - no or few grains in my cold brew. I would purchase again.
